CONFIRMED: NADAL WILL PLAY RG

This is from his website: (ok, or someone that runs a website for him)

"Rafa confirmed his plan to play Roland Garros, which begins on May 23, 2005. Nonetheless, media rumors are circulating that Rafa will pull out of Roland Garros because of the cut on his hand. This is not true. His Babolat rep has verified: "Rafael will definitely play Roland Garros."

Rafa spent some time at an automobile show in Barcelona on Tuesday (view photos), and is now at home in Mallorca. He plans to resume training after giving his hand a few more days to heal. He will leave for Paris on Thursday, May 19."

I for one cannot wait to watch  :worship:

Vinga RAfel :worship: :inlove: :clap2: :clap2:

Great news, now RG will be an amazing competition, without Nadal it would not feel like the champion would be the greatest clay court player in the world. Federer, Coria and NAdal must be fit and on their greatest form on this tournament, it will then be the greatest RG for some time I belive (since Guga and Ferrero where on their peak at the same time).

Blisters make people withdraw from slams only on MTF.

That's not his website, that's vamosrafael.com, which is an unofficial fan site (although they are usually very well informed, so yes, I'm just nitpicking). Good to hear that he is okay and planning to be there. The more, the merrier.

Of course this means that there will not be an ASTERIX winner at RG like there will be at Hamburg.
