This good form he is on is incredible, I can't believe he is finally consistantly realizing his potential. Allez Richie!

Great to see him playing well. There is something I like about him. i think its that he has had so much criticism and is now proving himself. i like the way he carries himself too, very calm and collected.

Here's an interesting point, if he makes it to the final, I think he will be seeded at Roland Garros at no. 32 in the world!

Apart from gaudio, probably the nicest backhand to watch on tour! and in general a very attractive game :yeah: would love to see the beautiful backhands of gaudio and gasquet face off!

We're not going to get our hopes up. Beating Novak or Seppi is conceivable, but after that, Gaudio and Coria will be almost impossible. ;)

Speaking of backhands i got to watch youzhny yesterday against coria and WOW what a beautiful single handed BH he has.I was just mesmerized by all the angles he was creating in.

And yet another strong win for Gasquet.Slowly but surely establishing himself as a name to consider at the coming FO.

Flash News: Hamburg's organisators are wondering if it's very necessary to resume the tournament as it is quite obvious the title is for Richard.
They're so considering of replacing the Semis and Finals by a paint ball tournament.

it is so nice to see Richard playing well. especially after hearing many people doubt him and saying he is "just another good french junior who cant play pro tennis". TOUCHé!

However they are hesitant to cancel after having had to throw the tournament back together after Nadal withdrew, as it had previously been cancelled in his favour ;)

Great win for him, I hope he's scheduled to play on Centre Court tomorrow because I wanna see him. I was so impressed with his game in Monte-Carlo (against Davydenko, Federer and Nadal). I loved it, all those angles and that amazing backhand! And also I liked the way he acts on court too. He seems motivated yet as said here, collected. I hope he does well. If Federer and Coria don't get to win this, then I'll root for him! ;P

Very nice stuff from Gasquet. Hated to see Dominik lose, but I don't really mind it much as it is obviously a joy to watch Richard.

If he doesnt let the pressure get to him there is a real chance for him to get to the final.

That's precisely the problem. But he's learning. ;)

I read an post match interview of Hrabty and he said that he lost because Gasquet is a new player and when people get used to his game they are gonna beat him. He said too that if it took him so much time to have a breakthrough it means that Gasquet's game is not very solid.

Well, he wasn't very happy it seems and won't be part of Gasquet's bandwagon if this one starts. :)

Richard's road to the final is pretty open now. On the other side, the players left must play some very good tennis this week if they are where they are. In conclusion, I have no idea of what will happen. :) But good luck to him!

On Monte Carlo, that was why he lost to Nadal. :o He led 7-6 2-0 ... then 7-6 4-6 2-0 ...

That one was more because his physical conditioning is not as good Nadal's, rather than because of pressure.

I don't disagree with the first statement. Usually, players do struggle the year following their breakthroughs. The second statement reeks of bitterness though. I thought he was a better sport than that. :o
