I know alot of you don't care. But this final can be very indicative of where Roddick stands in the up and coming clay court season. Roddick has a 4-1 head to head over Grosjean. The only loss coming on a clay event in 2002. So that doesn't bode well for the American. Plus the fact that at last years Queens tournament, Roddick won against Grosjean in a tight 2 setter. I think Grosjean's best chance is on clay. But Roddick has a mental edge at this tournie. My prediction is Roddick in 3 sets.

"clay event".... or Davis Cup in Paris... yea, same thing:):p;) But I ultimately agree with your point. Good to see Seb back and playing well, too!!

I thought Grosjean had beaten Roddick in Miami or LA once

No, that was Grosjean's only win, and he should have beaten Roddick in IW back in 2003 when he lost 7-6, 2-6, 7-6 (Roddick didn't break serve once); since then it's been straight sets for Roddick in the last two Queens finals plus Montreal 03. He's obviously a good claycourt player as he is a good player on every surface, but ironically I think his best chance to beat Roddick would be on a faster court that gives him a little more pace on his shots. Obviously that hasn't happened in the last couple of years, but he certainly had chances in the Queens final last year that he didn't take.
Anyway, the crowd support will probably see Roddick to an easy victory, but allez Seb all the same! This should help him take a step back towards the Top 20...
