:smash: what are the tournament officials thinking??

The four wild cards for the men's qualifying draw have been assigned to the following Italian players:

- DANIELE BRACCIALI (133);
- FRANCESCO ALDI (141)
- STEFANO GALVANI (166 – entry protection)
- MAURO FOGNINI (437)

MAURO FOGNINI (437)

:lol:

over Gasquet? these Italian officials are rather xenophobic.... it would be okay if all the other events were the same way... but they're not.

This is my first time looking at a list of this sort. Would someone kindly explain some things to me. Are alternates the guys who get directly into the draw if a player w/draws at the last moment? Then if 15 players don't withdraw from main draw, are the alternates slotted in the Qualies to replace the lowest 15 there?

I understand being accepted into Qualies; I don't understand how the list of "alternates" works.

Thanks.

There are many more than 15 alternates in each list, and the Main draw alternate list and the Qualifying alternate lists are two distinct lists

Galvani won his match in 1/4 in Tunis - so he gonna play 1/2 tomorrow and what with qualies - he has WC and what now ?

That should free a qualifying WC spot i think.
But even if it does, i don't think they will give it to Ferrero, and even if they do, I don't see him accepting it, as he wasn't even in the qualifying entry list and It seems like he is not interested in having to qualify for a tournament he has already won.

Yeah... he has already said he won't play Rome. Plus after the moya match today he has said that he's pretty tired. But qualifying in Hamburg is probably going to happen.
