We've seen it not so long ago Federer coming back from such a delicate scoreline, BUT he's had some glimpses of "A" play in the match (even in sets he lost), today he hasn't shown that yet.

Gasquet is playing really well, I really liked his game. I just hope Federer closes this scoreline, if he doesn't find a way to win (though there's always hope!).

Gasquet will feel the pressure and federer will win the match, is obvious.

Great if that happens. Gasquet is leading, but just with a break of advantage, so Federer has chances to come back and win it, definitely. But don't you think it's time for him to raise his game? Gasquet playing well and Federer consistently mishiting second serves just won't help him come back to the match.

Federer can't put a 1st serve in. Gasquet has a decent serve, his second is just not the best, but what's making such difference is that most of the times Gasquet is returning Federer's serves on fire while Federer's throwing the balls to the linesmen and sometimes, to the crowd.

An excellent match. Richard deserved it - some brillaint shotmaking from both, especially Gasquet in the tiebreak though. He was fearless. Roger fought so hard and fought really well but in the tiebreak Gasquet didn't get nervous and was hitting lines and clean winners.

These threads make me laugh. Everyone wants to be the one to crack the story when Federer loses.

I was equally pleased when he came back 0-2 against Nadal when the reports leaked as well.

But :hatoff: to Richard again, kid who is young and packs potential can only get better on clay. You can't get any better than beating Roger. It wouldn't surprise me if he wins his share of clay tournaments throughout his long career - alot to come for Mr Gasquet. :bigclap:

Great match from Gasquet, who's finally starting to show his potential. He plays a LOT like Roger too. Roger looked physically and mentally tired; he really needs to take some time off before the French, so maybe this will be a wake-up call that he's playing too much.
