Congrats, Rochus! I hope he has a good tournament! Clay isn't Ljubicic's best surface but it's not like he sucks at it, didn't he reach the semifinals of one of the clay AMS events last year? Forgot which one now. bad gambler 04-12-2005, 01:05 PM first match on clay for ivan - can't read too much into this HybridTheory 04-12-2005, 01:16 PM Ivan .. adelaide 04-12-2005, 01:18 PM What happened there Ivan??? Ollie! :) knight_ley 04-12-2005, 01:19 PM  BelgianWaffle 04-12-2005, 01:19 PM Olivier! :woohoo: star 04-12-2005, 01:19 PM Ivan is a very good player, and has been playing great. That's why I was so happy to see that Oli won! I hope Ivan does better in his next tournament..... so long as it's not at the expense of one of my faves. :) MisterQ 04-12-2005, 01:22 PM  rocketrajic 04-12-2005, 02:57 PM It's his first match on clay and it's not a big surprise that he lost. I'm only surprised by the result. He will do better in the next tournament. Allez-H˛ 04-12-2005, 03:46 PM Ollie :bounce: BelgianGirl 04-12-2005, 03:49 PM Congrats Ollie! tangerine_dream 04-12-2005, 04:16 PM Well done, Ollie  Aleksa's Laydee 04-12-2005, 05:53 PM :yippee: olivier!! El Legenda 04-12-2005, 06:20 PM When does Ivan play next Rome? month away? El Legenda 04-12-2005, 06:23 PM he's playing a Munich April25th...should be #1 seed. Deivid23 04-12-2005, 06:39 PM if ivan played half as well as he did in the beginning of the year, he would have won easily. the fact that rochus won more points on his second serve than his first is pathetic when you take into consideration how poor his serve is in the first place One funny lesson our Croatian fellas have taught me lately is: When Iván loses don´t dare to doubt Iván is the better player on that surface. He lost bc he played crap, if he played well we only would lose to Roger. ;) foul_dwimmerlaik 04-12-2005, 06:46 PM Ollie, well done! NATAS81 04-12-2005, 07:01 PM That's what happens when you can't control the baseline rallies. joske 04-12-2005, 07:03 PM One funny lesson our Croatian fellas have taught me lately is: When Iván loses don´t dare to doubt Iván is the better player on that surface. He lost bc he played crap, if he played well we only would lose to Roger. ;) if he was the better player he shouldn't have played like crap.. :p good job, Olli :woohoo: zoeziepoezie 04-12-2005, 07:16 PM Congrats Oli :worship:  Scotso 04-12-2005, 08:30 PM Ollie :worship: alexito 04-12-2005, 08:35 PM Ljubicic only play good in hard for his server, nothing else. RaVeR 04-12-2005, 08:50 PM pfff Ivan:rolleyes::rolleyes: Sjengster 04-12-2005, 09:12 PM I did have to rub my eyes and blink when I first saw the scoreline, Rochus has had a good start to the year himself but not at the same level as Ljubicic and it's remarkable that someone who just lost quite easily to Kuerten on his comeback from surgery could demolish a player who beat Pavel and Youzhny on clay to make the semis of Hamburg last year. Maybe Ljubicic just doesn't play well on "home soil", as it were; this is the second match in a row he has lost 2 and 2 in Monte Carlo, after the third-round drubbing at the hands of Kolya last year, and I can't imagine his supporters were very impressed... federer express 04-12-2005, 09:16 PM was actually expecting a rochus win here. | |
