Expect the unexpected from Marat, but it is hard to change that part of him because he has always been like that. He really is his own person and no one can really understand that.

This is what I consider to be a disaster from Marat. Now Federer has got a much bigger chance of winning the tournament now. There really is no one in the bottom half that can take him out.

but he missed an occasion to climb in the rankings though :sad:

Same old story. Why change the script! At least, I won't have to worry about missing anything on ESPN. The thing that bothers me is Marat's attitude about certain tournaments and his expectation of losing. His low self-esteem is driving me nuts! Do you ever here Roger talk with low self-esteem the way Marat does? If it's in an interview, please post it so I can retract my statements! Until Marat has confidence in his abilities and BELIEVE that he can be the best, he will continue to have inconsistent results. People think Roger is cocky and arrogant. I don't think so! He knows that if he maintains the advantage in the 'mind game-edge' he seems to have over everyone else, he will remain the number one player in the world. Hats off to Roger Federer for doing what no one seems to be able to do!

Well, I got errands to run. I didn't mean to rant on Marat so badly. I'm just tired of the same old result. It's not all about the Grand Slams. It's about consistency.

Completetly opposite with me. I like both Carlos and Rafa, but I think they both will lose today. I watched Ferrer-Larose match on TV last year in Toronto. It was worst ATP match I've ever seen.

They will not move that match, because they sell separate tickets for "morning session" and "afternoon session".

His matches against Keifer and Bjorkman in IW were far from convincing (I wasn't their live but I saw them both on TV) - and his display against Ferrer in Hamburg last year (losing in straight sets) and at the Australian Open this year (where he won in 5 unconvincing sets) don't fill me with confidence. He is still suffering from his Father's tragic death 3 months ago and his coach isn't with him in Miami - so I think it will be hard for him. If he wins I'll be thrilled - but I'm a very harsh critic as well as a fan of his - and I think he has to up his level considerably to win easily as you say.
