Yeah, I heard Cliff talking about the therapy at DC. But, the injury sounded like it was major last year. Mike may be doing more harm than good trying to avoid the surgery.

Based on some articles I've read about it, it sounds like he's seeing all the best doctors and whatnot - I would hope that if surgery was the only answer that he would've been told that, so he doesn't keep playing and risking even worse damage. But I remember he said that it makes him move more slowly around the net and that at big moments he can get tentative and think about it and therefore miss more - so it makes sense that it's costing them most in bigger and/or close matches. They're SO good for doubles in the US and they're just so much fun, I want to see them at the top of their games and playing as well as they can.

I agree! :yeah: I was so thrilled to see them in action at Houston TMS '03. I hope they work through it regardless of whether or not Mike is able to continue to play. His long term health is more important.
