Funny that Robredo has never come close to beating Novak in any of their matches, and this is the second time that Robredo has withdrawn from a scheduled match against Novak in a row.

Injuries really ruin tennis :mad: Especially for Tommy this year. It's been horrible. I am still glad he has been able to beat Björkman, but Jonas will be gutted now and rightfully so.

Let's hope Tommy gets well really fast :D

yeah...I'm kinda surprised at this news since he obviously beat Bjökman pretty convincingly...but I know his shoulder has never been right since the end of last year...and imo he came back far too early. He should never have gone to Dubai...don't know why he came rushing back for that tournament...he said after the AO he wasn't going to come back til his shoulder was 100% because it wasn't worth it...and since then he's admitted he went to Dubai not being 100%...this time hopefully he'll give himself more time to recuperate. Even if it means missing some bigger tournaments...in the end it will be more beneficial for him...because otherwise this same thing is just going to keep happening and he'll need an operation, which he might even need anyway...

his is not so much to do with ligaments, but rather it's a malformation of the bone that causes inflamation...still sounds icky to me...

Since Bjorkman lost that match, no, it won't be done.

yeah...I mean he lost 0-6 to a guy who had a bung shoulder...he obviously doesn't deserve to be in the 3rd round does he? he had his chance to win the match, couldn't deliver so that's it...yes it seems unfair that Tommy pulled out just after winning, but he's allowed to do that, so there's nothing Jonas can do...
