Well, the draw comes out about this time tomorrow, so we can start making our fearless predictions then. Shall we wish for a Fed-Ljubo final? Personally, I want to see Marat and Andy in one half, Fed and Lleyton in the other, but that won't happen.

That can't happen, Fed is #1, & Hewitt #2, they're automatically on opposite side of the draw.

I didn't write this, but it is funny: :D

New ATP Rules as of March 21, 2005:
1) Federer has to play the qualifying rounds
2) All Federer opponents get a 2-0 lead in each set
3) Federer has to play with a wood racquet
4) Everyone but Federer is allowed to do steroids
5) Roger has to play blindfolded

If those rules don't work to stop the Federer Express by the Nasdaq, more stringent ATP rules WILL go in effect, including:

1) Federer will be FORCED to play left-handed and without shoes.
2) He will not be allowed to have strings in his wood racquet.
3) Mirka and all of Roger's family and friends will be tied to electric chairs on court and for every error he hits and game he loses, the voltage will go up slightly until every one of them dies or the match is over and they are saved, whichever comes first.
4) Federer will not be allowed to take planes to tournaments, especially the Grand Slams. He will have to swim or walk to get there. Once at the tournament, he will only be allowed bread and water., and will have to sleep on the street.
5) The "allowable court to hit into" for Federer will be 2 inches by 2 inches.

Two possibilities:

A. Marat will pump out the big guns.

B. Federer will be too tired to perform well and will lose in the early rounds.

Apparently so, BG (and not just in this thread). I promise to write in one syllable words from now on (and overuse emoticons), so that people will understand exactly when I am being sincere and helpful, or sarcastic, or making a lame attempt at humor, or whatever else it is that I do around here.

There is a part of me that would like to see Federer win Miami, for the history making aspect part of it, but there is also a part of me that would like to see Marat or Andy or Moya or Haas win it too, just to mix it up a little bit. {sincere comments} There's another part of me that would like to see Miami, period. ESPN is covering it again, so who knows what they will do to wreck it for us next week. {lame attempt at humor, social commentary}

Why not the option 'himself' i will vote for it coz after keep winning, winning so many matches at some time he's maybe bored with tennis, with the level of his opponents then he can choke around and can lose to some else, Rainer ex.. but one lost does not mean anything coz after that he keep winning again even stronger. AO05 is clearly a good example :D So if "himself it not in the option so Rainer could be a good choice :p But he haven't get this Miami's so he must achieve it and you know if he'll he can do it, that's my ROGER :D

The Boss Justine. :inlove: :worship:

Seriously? There's no "Roger Federer" on that list. If he plays the way he has played the last three matches, he can beat anyone with the exception of very good Safin on a great day. To beat those conditions Safin, he has to serve a little bit better and make less UEs.

I hope he doesn't. His new wife will go berserk.

Anyways, I voted for Ring 2 for fun, but I think Fed could lose in the early round from fatigue. If he makes it to quarters, then the title is his.

If someone could stop Roger, I'd like that Marat was doing it...but I don't know...Marat is so unpredictable!...But it would be interesting to see that situation: Marat Safin, who's the only one able of defeating Roger Federer and then to lose against the N°200

You voted Moya, because Carlos's sexy power made you. Seriously, if I was playing Carlos, I'd land dead in a pile of my own drool. I think that's what happened to Roger at TMC and IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN! *hopeful?*

Well since he doesn't lose to top 10 players often, and almost lost to Ferrero, Ferrero is the man to do it:) But i hope he doesn't have to play Federer, and can beat someone else (hewitt) in the final, and win his first title in ages.

Im really wishing players like Ferrero and Nalbandian were really in shape and in-form to raise the stakes in Miami.
Nadal will be back though in this tournament though. That could definitely make things more interesting.

Im still kinda bummed the Agassi-Hewitt match didnt happen cos I thought Agassi's form against Coria was excellent. He was playing awesome. (I wonder if he would have made it to the final?) Anyway, I hope Agassi will manage to display that kind of form again at Miami despite the toe injury. Federer needs all the competition he can get. ;)

Nadal.

He's hot right now, and he did it last year... so why not?

If I'm being completely optimistic... Ferrero. Fed has to be tired, maybe he'll slip up and make some mistakes JCF can capitalize on. Though I really hope JCF would not have to see Fed until after the 2nd round this time.
