Poor Hewitt,

I feel sorry for Hewitt. Another loss in the final of a major tournament for him. After his wonderful fight in 3 tiebreaks against Roddick. Anyone think Hewitt has a chance in hell of beating Federer tomorrow?

Ofcourse he has a chance,nothing in life is 100% sure.
Federer is the big favourite,but if he has bad day,and Lleyton plays he's best,then who knows...

Hewitt has a chance but it is slim. But if he wants to regain that top spot these are the matches he is going to have to win.

Me too, Hewitt is no walk over. He has improved a lot since the US Open last year, and he has heart. That is the one thing I admire the most about the little guy.

I dont know I always get nervous when Fed has to play Lleyton, hes always a dangerours opponent. Its like Hewitt is anyones worst nightmare when hes on the opposite side of the net. Its always a new match when these two play in the past 6 the outcome has been the same but you never say never vs Hewitt. I hope it remains the same but it will be a test certainly at the very least. Actually Hewitt is my second favorite player tied with Safin when hes playing to his ability except vs Federer it gets me way too nervous when these two meet up. my hope is that Lleyton can bring it together mentally for this match....he's proven over their 04 matches that he's not mentally as strong against Roger as he is against everyone else....if he can hold it together, it might be the difference between taking those very few chances you get against Federer and making a match out of it, or leaving the court without making much of a splash

% of 1st serve in. I don't know what it was against Roddick but it seemed very low, I don't think he double faulted once all match though which was quite incredible. I know it was terrible in his 4th round match with Mathieu around 35%. Maybe it has something to do with the strapping on his thigh, maybe he's having problems getting up to the ball, I just think Roger is likely to take advantage of a lot of 2nd serves.

he was at 55% against Roddick, around 60 in the 3rd set, which is good for Lleyton I guess, but it'll definitely need to be firing if he wants to have a hope against Roger

I think Lleyton has a better chance today than he did in their matches last year. I think you can even see a difference in Lleyton from the Masters Cup last year to the Aussie Open and IW this year.

I have been a big fan of both for quite a few years now and it's weird because in the past one was always near the top and one was ranked lower top 10 or 11-20 and it's only in the last 6 months or so they are both right at the top. I take it as a reward for years of being their fan ;) It just makes watching these matches less enjoyable as I am never really sure who to pull for. Before last year's US Open final I wanted Roger to get his 3rd Slam of 2004 but when he started taking Lleyton apart I was praying for Lleyton to win a game! Good luck to both of them :)

I actually think Rodick has a better chance against Federer than does Hewitt. Hewitt's advantages against other players aren't much of an advantage over Federer.

Also, Hewitt had a grueling match that lasted into the night and now must return early in the morning to get ready for the final.

I think he's meeting up with an opponent that is simply too good for him, and Hewitt, as brilliant as he can be tactically, hasn't figured out how to beat him.

why feel sorry for lleyton? he has been #1 for 2 yrs, won 2 slams, 2 dc titles, 2 tmc, beaten top 10 players... has 2 loving parents, had kim, lost her and now has bec... what more can one wish for? ;)
