Sorry I couldn't help, but IMO Fed is multi-dimensional enough to talk about these abilities... and it's still more interesting than J. Melzer's alledged boyfriend !! ;)

His backhand---the way he slices the ball so patiently and smoothly

yea...his movement is the best on tour, I think everyone would agree on that's what seperates him from the rest of the pack.

His shotmaking and brains also gives him a huge edge.

he is always relaxed- i say this because of he is always relaxed. The relaxation gives himt he time to think things through- thats why he is good.

I can't believe there isn't a single vote for the Federer forehand, it's his most destructive shot and his main groundstroke weapon. Mind you, the shot that comes to mind whenever I think of him is the serve. Call me shallow, but that service action was the first thing I noticed about him when I first saw him while watching Wimbledon back in 2001 - it's so wonderfully fluid and co-ordinated, everything working in unison. As a Schalken fan, you can tell I have a keen eye for beautiful service motions.

hes ALWAYS RELAXED..he never seems to be intimidated by anyone or by any event...i guess mental strength would also apply...

His game is so beautiful. I know that's not on the list, but this is what defines Federer for me.

I watched Schalken against Wawrinka in DC, what a weird service motion he has ! I thought he had problems with his back... he's bending back the trunk so much it looks like in rubber, but doesn't bend the knees... but still powerful. And the rest of his game is pretty standard, but this serve... ;)
