Federer as usual gets the hardest draw and some people keep getting easy draws. Anyways, Federer will just have to be prepared from the get go. Good luck, Roger.

Interesting... seems quite well-balanced, although Federer again has a tricky section - Stepanek's been playing well this year, we all know about his meetings with Ljubicic in finals (though I suppose the experience of beating him and Ancic back to back in Rotterdam will come in handy), and I'd say Nalbandian has a good chance with that draw to make it to the QF against Federer. Henners has a great draw to get to the quarters! Youzhny, Robredo, Melzer - definitely beatable, though it's interesting to note that prodigies Young and Monfils are in his section.

Johansson, Lopez and Karlovic in the same section - someone has a love of acefests.... Pity for Ferrero to have to play Moya so early, even with that great record he has against him (and Andreev won't be a pushover either). A Calleri-Srichaphan second round encounter would be full of delightful finesse tennis, and Haas-Mathieu is the potential battle of the Bollettieri ball-bashers. Does Schalken have a chance to win a couple of rounds? Llodra is certainly beatable, but Hrbaty is in pretty good form after his DC wins. The winner will have an interesting baseline duel with Hewitt in the third round.

Oh, man. Roja and Ljubicic on a collision course AGAIN?
First of all, I hope both of them get there safe and sound.
Then may the better player win their bout.

As for Ivan's cramping, Ulrich, I think Ivan said that he did NOT cramp
but felt tightness in his knee or something....
Everyone thought he was getting a massage for cramp, but at the post-match interview with John McEnroe, he actually said the muscle in his knee felt tight, but he wasn't cramping.

Correct me if I'm wrong, someone.

You really very much underestimate most of the Duck fans if you think that they are all the same looking for excuses or whatever else. Andy just wasn't good enough this day to use his chances against Ljubicic and full stop.
Concerning the "heart question". Yes, Ivan has at the present more heart than Andy and is playing a very good season, but as we know from the past, that wasn't always the same.

Hmmm Ljubo v Ancic R3 - Ljubo has to win that match to prove he can make the 16 of Masters tourney this year - :haha:

If Tim doesn't reach QF :help: Melzer is difficult, as is Robredo, Beck and Youzhny....but they are all matches he should win. Hopefully Marat won't make QF so Tim can make SF

Roger - :haha: They have ganged up on you again! All big servers in his section and clay courters for him if he survives into QF - great job Yankee draw maker! Idiot :fiery:

In Rod doesn't make SF :help: Pim Pim is the only player there that is likely to hurt him before SF.

Come on Greg! Qualifier first round and Gonzo 2nd round. Good chance to make at least R3 and get some Russian revenge!

03-09-2005, 11:33 AM
draw is a complete disaster!!!!!!!!!! the best players at the moment are placed in same part, and idiots like roddick and hewitt will go far cause they got easy part. most of all i feel sorry for ljubo and mario, cause they'll probably play against eachother, and then again, the winner(i bet it'll be ivan) will play federer, and if this isn't terrible enough, if he wins( by miracle), he'll play marat( if he doesn't lose to a qual. or something) and in final meet somebody who had much easier job and lose??!!
i have a headache... so many ifs... we don't need one miracle, we need several miracles... for ivan it will be MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

This draw is really brutal for all the seeds and not as bad for Safin who could perhaps get to the semis easily. The bottom half of the draw is the one that is the worst with so many good players there, but only one can make it to the final.

i love paradorn
03-09-2005, 09:39 PM
Please stop pouting about bad draws. A draw is a draw, and it can't be helped. Your favorite players will have both good and bad draws somedays. Who knows? Like Mr. Oschie says, there will always be a few surprises.

Your right..but thats not what happend...i bet he was just getting little extra rest when it was 4-1.

Nope. He approached umpire to ask if it is possible to get treatment at 3-1, when he was only one break up. Umpire said him: Sorry, You'll have to wait for next change.

After 4-1, double break, coach Pilich told him not to have knee tretment, because he is on the run. But Ljubo didn't listen to him. I'm sure that he did it because it would be unfair to ask for it and then revoke it because of favourable score. If there was doubt at all.
