Probably 4 alternates with the best ranking that will sign in on site.

I doubt it, because they are playing each other. Probably left out four guys.

One of them must be Olivetti.

Copil is in Rosmalen.

VamosHoracio

Copil is not playing, he would have been seeded. So Dancevic, Kuznetsov, Olivetti, and JWH are in, playing each other. Interesting to see which ones will play.

Sousa has an interesting draw. He isn't the best in grass but with the serve working he can go through against Stebe in the 2nd and maybe Reister in the 3rd.

Yeah, he's the favourite of the section but Sousa is the outsider.

Going with:
Sela - very good grass player, beat Roddick and reached Wimbledon R16.
Sock - up-and-comer with a good serve and all around game.
Reister - playing well now. He has an easy two rounds and reached 2R as a qualifier a couple years ago.
Rochus - veteran who knows grass courts very well and has the fire and competitiveness to beat anyone.
Brown - very good grass player with good serve and volley. If he beats Vesely 2R, he'll qualify easily.
Kudla - just had an excellent week at Queens, has a solid game suited for grass.
Ignatik - This is my sleeper pick. He got to boy's final once and has a good serve for grass.
Devvarman - He's playing very well now, has a fairly easy section and can play on all surfaces.
Marchenko - Good player, who beat Horacio in Eastbourne couple years back.
Young - He is a good talent who knows how to play on grass, tough match R2 against Lajovic
Evans - The guy really impressed me in Nottingham and Queens, and he will have crowd support
Williams - This section, all eight have a chance. Williams is highest ranked, has a good overall game.
Soeda - He is a Top-100 level player playing in a group of guys nowhere near his level
Bachinger - Good serve and aggressive play. No real threat other than Ito R1 (and hopefully Trungelliti or Andreozzi)
Dustov - He should have a bigger serve, but beat Bogomolov, and Gicquel and Serra are getting old.
Gabashvili - Another wide-open section, I think Teymuraz's experience will get him through

Except that he is allergic to the net :sobbing: I think Reynolds will come out of this section.

I watched him against Guido Pella on livestream in Houston. Surface is different but Williams had a good serve and forehand, if it's good enough you can get through the qualies with that. But Bobby has a good game too, he is a journeyman who has grinded through this for many years, Williams on the other hand is coming up and looked at highly. So we'll see.

If Williams meets Reynolds in the FQR, he has a decent chance of getting through. He is the stronger player and has beaten Reynolds before (AOWC Playoffs - Indoors). However, Reynolds is more experienced and Rhyne is terrible on grass so far kinda like Pella :p

My picks:

Dudi Sela ISR [1]
Jack Sock USA [2]
Cedrik-Marcel Stebe GER
Olivier Rochus BEL [20]. Weak section, so he can qualify despite poor form.
Jiri Vesely CZE [5]. Dustin has a chance, but his results haven't been encouraging. Vesely is the better player.
Denis Kudla USA [6]. Toss-up between him and Ruben. Too bad one of them won't qualify.
Jamie Baker GBR [WC]. Great draw for him, with no overly tough players in the draw.
Tim Smyczek USA [8], but lots of guys have a chance here.
Illya Marchenko UKR [9]. Open section, but Marchenko has an easy Q2.
Donald Young USA :(
Daniel Evans GBR [WC]. Evans will go one of two ways: shine or implode.
Rhyne Williams USA [12]. Piss-poor section. Even if Rhyne can't play on grass, he is given two matches and plenty of time to adapt. Reynolds can play on grass but is washed up.
Marton Fucsovics. Surprise pick.
Matthias Bachinger GER [14]. Better than most guys in this section.
Florent Serra FRA [28]. Another piss-poor section. Serra often does well in GS qualies and lucked out here. Could well have a face-off between two French veterans in the final round.
Denys Molchanov UKR. And we also close with a weak section. Anyone could qualify, but few would in most other sections.

Struff controlling Ugnatik so far

Weintraub took down polansky easily..somewhat of a surprise

Udomchoke takes out Fuscovics 12-10 in the 3rd, tough loss for Marton

Peliwo took the first set 6-2 but trailing in the second, hopefully he can turn it back around.

Weird Peliwo match.

Filip seemed to dominate the 1st set, even the 2 games that Klahn won he really struggled(and faced bp's in both I think).

Filip then has 3 bp to start set 2, fails to break and then it's 1 way traffic the other way

I watched Sousa v Stebe and Berrer v Middelkoop today. After Stebe recovered the early break he was in control and really should have won the first set having been 5-2 up. Sousa kept fighting despite getting very frustrated and complaining a lot. Somehow Sousa managed to win the first set. In the second set Sousa played very well and Stebe quickly fell behind. The German managed to break back once but it was too little too late. Sousa's forehand was very good and his groundstrokes are powerful. Served quite well too.

Berrer won extremely easily, it was basically a training exercise. Berrer was in a different league. Middelkoop is a very limited player and he didn't show anything at all today. He got quickly frustrated and was thrashed. Berrer was very solid though and I think it will be an interesting match against Duckworth. I am going today to see the final matches so hope to see some good matches.
