Ohh my life! I am SO unlucky. I put $534 on Soderling in Rotterdam R1, $900 on federer to win AO, and now this! Every time, I go for the dead cert and they get upset

Damn it, I had a feeling Luczak would pull of the upset but couldnt get myself to put money on it. He is a good player on clay and even though he lost 1st Round in Chile and Argentina they were both close mathces with Gonzalez and Moya.

I don't think that Fernando is an average player... He's 17° now and he is former 13°... and Lucsak, who is????

Gonzalez is an irregular player (sadly) ... An average player can't defeat players like Sampras, Roddick, Hewitt, Ferrero and others ;)

First time I saw him play was at Aus Open this yr in that 5 setter against Johansson....just fell away in that 5th set but he was still pretty good out there

great win, and finally some good aussie mens singles news coming from somewhere other than Lleyton

I hadnt recalled what she said as well as I'd hoped, she didnt say it was her preferred, but didnt say she placed it higher or lower than any other surface...heres where I got it from

Q. What do you think your best Grand Slam sort of surfaces are to win?

ALICIA MOLIK: I don't know. It's always a tough one, you know. Some of my best results have come on clay, on green clay and on red clay. Maybe that's not typically a surface that would be suited to me, but I really enjoy playing on clay. I don't know if I favor one over the other. I guess they're all surfaces that I enjoy, they're all challenging, and I guess they all help. Each and every surface that the Grand Slams are played on I guess help my game in a certain way. In Wimbledon, my serves shoot through. Roland Garros, I can kick the ball a little bit more. Here, the ball sits up a bit so I can give it a good hit.

...It was only a matter of time before he won a round. I did have my suspicions that Gonzo would go...and he proved me right.

Its not that much of a surprise as Luczak has been challenging some good players recently and plays well on clay. He's been in good form but just had bad draws. Good for him to finally get a win.
