Well, no matter who was gonna lose this match, people could have shaken their heads both ways. Neither Ferrero nor Schüttler play up to their abilities where they have once been. Ferrero won this battle today and he also deserves a break some time not having to reside in the around the #70 rankings all the time, but the main thing that irritates me is not that Rainer lost, it's the fast way he lost and went downwards without ever having a chance to come back.

For me, you can lose 6-2 6-4 in different ways.

For example, the match of Sluiter today was the opposite. Sluiter also only made 6 games, but in a different fashion than Rainer played today. Sluiter had chances and (converted) break points the whole match along and it seemed as if Coria was just better playing the big points lifting his game more than his opponent exactly when it was needed. At least Sluiter was trying/working more. Rainer made one break, had another deuce on Ferrero's serve midway the 1st set and that was it.

Rainer. There is nothing left for me to say...... Maybe he'll win something in Dubai.......

Good job, Juan Carlos. But he seems to continuously fall early, so *crosses fingers*

Fantastic result.... regardless of the opposition, I'll be happy with any convincing win by Juan Carlos

Liptea... I wouldn't worry so much about the early losses. The last two have been to Coria, and Johansson, both of which are pretty decent players.
