Second title in a row and this time at home! Congratulations Gastón!!!
Gaby Sabatini and Guillermo Vilas are handing out the trophy :)
And congrats to Puerta for doing a great tournament as well :yeah:

Woohoooooo :) its great to see he is backing up his roland garros win with more titles and final spots. He is confirming his position as the best claycourt player of the current time. At least he is winning the titles now too, instead of making 4 finals and not winning any of them

Interesting he won 2 clay titles in a row in 2002 in Barcelona and Mallorca and now in 2005 he has won 2 in a row Vińa del Mar and Buenos Aires.

I heard that Vilas and Sabatini are giving out the trophies. One is a friend of Gaston and the other one he is going to marry if he wins RG.

Good to see the finals record improve.

:bigclap: Well done Gaston. :D Great to see him win another title and even better that's he won his home country title. Also nice to hear that Vilas and Sabatini were involved in the trophy presentation. :)

Capable? Yes he is. And he's on his way to prove it.

yep he is capable. but doing it won't be so easy. winning there twice is an incredibly difficult task. in great form now but only time will tell if he can take this form there. lots of matches to be played before then anyway

He is capable and only an absolute moron would think otherwise, this doesn't mean he is going to do it again. These titles are good to win, but these are small fry compared to what awaits.

I said he is capable, that means he has the ability to do it. I've never pretended he would...that's totally different. I'm not totally dumb...

Hopefully Nadal can stop him this week.

I'm not too sure if he'll play in Brazil, I'll be surprised if he did...I mean, he's been playing non-stop for the last two weeks and I even think he has a minor problem in one of his thighs...He said he's too tired.

I don't think he should play there, but since he is one of these guys who usually turns up and plays I wouldn't be surprised to see him there.

Also he is scheduled on the list at Acapulco as well.

nah, knew what u meant and what ujdidn't also. was just saying that no matter how well he is playing now, winning the french more than once is so hard to do. wasn't suggesting u didn't know that, was just saying what i was thinking

He needs to rest now. The next important goal I think is the 1st round of DC.
If he does the Brazil open as well as Acapulco, I just hope he won't waste too much enrgy inthere.

Yes, the dynamics of the Vilas-Gaudio couple is a bit scary to say the least.

I just hope he can play in Brasil and tries his best and that's all I can ask for.
