Hendu 02-12-2005, 03:19 AM 6-3 6-1???? Damn! I didn't see that coming.... jole 02-12-2005, 03:22 AM Their meeting #3 might be 6-1 6-0 or something. darnyelb 02-12-2005, 03:27 AM whaaa... that's unreal. how was the actual play? yonexforever 02-12-2005, 04:38 AM Agassi played like crap, but Jurgen had EVERYTHING to do with that! Jurgen: "Who's yo Daddy"? Jurgen: " Say It!" Agassi: You are Daddy Prizeidiot 02-12-2005, 05:22 AM What the f*** is going on there? Eclectic Goddess 02-12-2005, 06:09 AM Woo hoo! Go Jurgen! trixy 02-12-2005, 06:10 AM  Poljud 02-12-2005, 06:18 AM Agassi played like crap, but Jurgen had EVERYTHING to do with that! Jurgen: "Who's yo Daddy"? Jurgen: " Say It!" Agassi: You are Daddy Dont even compare them in the same sentence, Melzer is nothing. Eclectic Goddess 02-12-2005, 06:55 AM Dont even compare them in the same sentence, Melzer is nothing. If Melzer is nothing, but he's beaten Agassi the last two times they played and has a winning record (2/1), what does that make Agassi? J. Corwin 02-12-2005, 07:01 AM I don't think Andre is that aggressive with his groundies anymore. :( Horatio Caine 02-12-2005, 09:29 AM Geez - I thought Agass i would win two sets by that scoreline after losing the first. Well, I thought Tompa would win and he came within 2 points of doing it....Andy is playing like crap but yet I can't see any of the last 3 other players beating him now. Fergie 02-12-2005, 10:21 AM Well done Jurgen :worship: Cervantes 02-12-2005, 11:17 AM Hm, surprise surprise, it seems I underestimated Melzer. Wonder how Agassi will bounce back in the upcoming Masters events? Can he? Neely 02-12-2005, 11:55 AM I'm happy for Jürgen, great win for him, the scoreline looks very easy! :clap2: :woohoo: I guess it was a rather bad day of Andre as well, I don't think he played up to what is capable, or the score wouldn't like as easy as that... I remember very well how some people were upset or wondered how "this Melzer guy" could beat Agassi last year on a hardcourt TMS... well, here is the confirmation for you he can beat him again! Sjengster 02-12-2005, 01:06 PM Smellzer! As Neely says, this proves the Toronto win last year was no fluke. Before that match I thought he would have a bad game to play Agassi because he needs time to unwind on his shots and Agassi doesn't give him that time, but in actual fact his style succeeds because he punches right through Agassi's cross-court percentage play with his high-risk, explosive groundies, gets the first strike in early during the rallies and follows it up with those beautiful backhand dropshots that completely confound the opponent. He could definitely have done a lot more in the big events last year if he hadn't run into Hewitt at three major tournaments in a row, Hewitt's game neutralises all the above mentioned strengths. So, Saulnier or Melzer - whoever wins will be in their first ever final, and I don't mind who gets through provided they can beat one of the drama queens they would be up against tomorrow. Jennay 02-12-2005, 02:03 PM :woohoo: Jürgen! :yeah: Neely 02-12-2005, 02:35 PM Yes, could be first ATP final for Saulnier!! And let's say it could be Melzer's "best" ATP final so far. The other one came in Newport on grass (2003) which is a tournament that is considered by some as a "donkey/mickey mouse tournament" or whatever, but still ATP category. Aleksa's Laydee 02-12-2005, 02:46 PM :woohoo: well done! FERD 02-12-2005, 03:15 PM I'm very HAPPY!!!!! Keep going Jurgen!!! basil333 02-12-2005, 04:49 PM Hm, surprise surprise, it seems I underestimated Melzer. Wonder how Agassi will bounce back in the upcoming Masters events? Can he? Congratulations and big respect to Melzer! - a nice guy beats a "comercial legend" Wonder how Agassi will bounce back in the Masters??? - as per usual he will probably withdraw at the last minute after getting the Tournament Directors hopes of his attendance up. Melzer - congratulations - keep up the good work. lucashg 02-12-2005, 07:46 PM I didn't see that coming, but I must say that I'm really happy for Melzer. I hope he takes his chances on a possible first ATP title. Keep going! Mordra 02-12-2005, 08:11 PM Melzer played very well and aggressive. Some of his backhands and dropshots were terrific. :yeah: In fact, he was the best player of the night section. Yes, the other two guys played hit-and-miss tennis like the scoreboard indicated. :p OTOH, Agassi was WAY off. I didn't really keep count but his first serve % was definitely under 50% and probably 40%. Dumped more FH than usual. He even missed returns off Melzer's puffy (~80mph) 2nd serves. :o I wonder if something is wrong with him since I haven't seen him bombed like that for some time. Scotso 02-12-2005, 08:33 PM Still no Gigan? tangerine_dream 02-12-2005, 09:04 PM Wonder how Agassi will bounce back in the upcoming Masters events? Can he? Of course he can. When he lost to Melzer last year at TMS Canada, he then proceeded to go on and beat three former No. 1s at TMS Cincy and take the title. :woohoo: Hopefully history will repeat itself. :p Space Cowgirl 02-12-2005, 09:38 PM Excellent, Jürgen :yeah: Another Austrian who :rocker2: gsm 02-12-2005, 11:30 PM He could definitely have done a lot more in the big events last year if he hadn't run into Hewitt at three major tournaments in a row, Hewitt's game neutralises all the above mentioned strengths. hewitt will meet melzer on grass in sydney for DC , weekend of march 4th. vogus 02-13-2005, 05:19 AM Agassi made 400,000$ for playing in San Jose this week. Melzer is making about 20,000$. OWNED. Becool 02-13-2005, 11:43 AM Goo Juuuuu!! :D :D Scotso 02-13-2005, 01:26 PM Agassi made 400,000$ for playing in San Jose this week.
