Beware, these players are extremely dangerous, under-estimate them at your own risk

The French Super Journeymen :worship:

they are everywhere, you cannot run, hide or escape from them
and just when you least expect it, they beat you up :p

they dont do much on tour but when they do, the WHOLE World notices ;)

lets hear it for

Michael Llodra :worship:
Cyril Saulnier " nice one Cyril" :wavey:
Julien Benneteau
Anthony Dupuis :worship:
Jerome Haehnel :)
Gregory Carraz :worship:
Paul-Henri Mathieu  (yes he's too scared to become a star and would much prefer life like his fellow super-journeymen )
Olivier Mutis :D
Jean-Rene Lisnard :wavey:

Arnaud Clement (has settled for life on the outside lane looking in after his one season in the sun and he likes it)
Thierry Ascione
Nicolas Mahut

Gilles Simon
Olivier Patience

now who's the next victim :armed:

where's the mighty fabrice santoro on the list?

02-11-2005, 05:11 PM
Shame on you, for forgetting Fabrice ;)
None of the player you listed, actually gets at his level

Fabrice.......... he's special :)
even i think he's too good for these guys

but i'll count him in.

02-11-2005, 05:21 PM
if sebastien doesn't get his act together he might need to be added to the list soon!

02-11-2005, 05:40 PM
I love these guys but they are not really the pride of French sport. Please don't fall into a sort of French bashing, Santoro has been kicking asses for a while now and his style will keep him apart from the journeymen. We have an army of 100 and 200 ranked guys but we lack a true elite player. Grosjean, unfortunately, a bit like Henman, has never won a slam. ;)

02-11-2005, 05:46 PM
What about Escude? Do you have any news guys?

02-11-2005, 07:46 PM
no comment

02-11-2005, 11:26 PM
yes it's sad, but no amount of nurturing can create true champions, i suppose.

in clement's case, he has over-achieved beyond belief and should be proud of what he has managed in his career. it's not all over yet ;)

french fans can only hope that youngsters like gasquet and monfils will make good....

ALLEZ >D

Cyril takes out Spadea :rolls:

02-12-2005, 01:27 AM
I like Haehnel.

02-12-2005, 01:31 AM
Lisnard is nothing :p

Horatio Caine
02-12-2005, 09:41 AM
What about Gasquet? His results haven't exactly merited him as a good top 100 player.

Jean - F Bachelot - he turned up at Wimbledon one year, gave Timmy a little scare and hasn't been seen since.

I see the British are very inspired by this thread...
I couldn't make a list of your players, I only know Rusedski and Henman. :o

true, you could
but then the British guys are totally hopeless and they are not that good :rolls:

Olivier Patience :inlove:

He is the most handsome guy on the tour. Hardly anyone has actually seen him to know that though

02-13-2005, 09:02 AM
Cyril into his 1st final  :bolt:

good luck Cyril today & do some Duck Hunting

182 - Alex Bogdanovic (Expected to reach 168ish on Mon)
189 - Arvind Parmar
222 - Jamie Delgado
238 - Alan Mackin
259 - Jonathan Marray
269 - David Sherwood
272 - Mark Hilton
315 - Josh Goodall
327 - Andrew Banks
364 - James Auckland
269 - Lee Childs
403 - Richard Boomfield
415 - Andrew Murray

Watch the ones in bold - they have the potential to be real journeymen! Seriously, there is some talent there and hopefully a few will make top 100 status and better.

Have a pop at Great Britain...but what about up and coming Aussies? I can't see one that has a decent chance. What will happen when Hewitt retires?
