What a match!!!!! , this will be a great match between two of the best 10 clay-court tennis players in the world.
i think it will be for Gaudio in 3 tought sets, perhaps a 7-5 4-6 7-6

Somehow I don't find it surprising that you think Gaudio will win ;)

Vamos Rafa!

It really depends, it can also be 2 tough sets, but it will surely be high-class tennis,
if Gaston can be concentrated as in the Vina final he might well win in 2, although you gotta say Nadal's become such a good player, and I was so impressed with him in the DC final...well all who can watch it, hope its a great match :yeah:

vamos champ!!!

If Rafa loses, I'll cry.

No but, seriously he really HAS to win. He played such an amazing match against Potito and if he plays like that against Gaudio I'm sure he can beat him. or hope so hehe :)

Or I can grab both at the same time and blame each other for it. We could get one hell of a show out of that (:

Tytta!.

No, no, no
I'm the only one who can grab Carlos :sobbing: Get your Rafa and that's enough for you  Let my Carlos out of it, ok? ;)

Tytta!.

Carlos is a private person, he'd never want to make it public :sobbing:

Mantilla plays first. Not before 2.30 pm.
The doubles that is being played now is about to finish so I'd say it wont be too long till they get started :)

I apologie in advance, but sometimes betting odds are a way to analyze the match. Nadal is very much the underdog (2.50) in this "pure talent challenge", he faces a big name, he face a home crowd favourite. It was Hewitt just some weeks ago and he responded as the champion he almost is, he went really close to win that epic battle. But now the opponent is not that good mentally, and Rafa this time can play on his favourite surface. Gaston, a player i love for his backhand and simply for the nice guy he is, might be tired but is not gonna concede this easily, I then predict a 2-1 for Nadal. Call this betting prediction or simply tennis prediction...as you wish.

Tytta, I hope you ll get it in TV, this must be a great match to watch, lefty Nadal forehands versus Gaudio clean backhand...what a duel!

What a match it will be indeed! One half of the Ass Twins and a trasero argentino!! Mmm...

I like them both... too bad one has to lose.

Does anyone know if it will be on Direct TV? I have TYC and a bunch of Fox Sports channels. Please let me know. I want to see Gaudio play cause they don't give him hardly any coverage in the U.S..

Whats it going to be about?

All I can say, as I was there, that :cat: had a fight against himself (again) in the first set. I don't say that Rafa didn't play ok, but to me it was gaudio's fault to lose it that way.
He was obviously nervous, remember he called himself "the worst champion ever in RG", he still lacks some confidence in the beginning of every single match he plays. Then second and third Rafa was absolutetly out of the court, I dunno the reason. And :cat: played wonderfully, showing why he's Top10.
Weird match? Totally!

the crowd behaviour was awful, perhaps they want next year a 32 argentines draw:(

I agree, it was not a good crowd indeed, probably that pissed Rafa off. But I believe that the crowd oversupported :cat:, because he always has this "falling apart" mood when he starts losing...

SO true! I was so pissed yesterday at the crowd, I just wanted to shut them up... they were all being mean to Rafa and he didn't deserve it...

as we said in some other thread... education matters and you can check the lack at almost every sport... the crawd wasn't that good but yet they were not as bad as in ViŮa del Mar.. Rafa left the court with a serious big clapping and i thiknk he understood that most of us were thankfull for coming here and play as well as he did... Even though it was really Gaston's faults more than Rafa's genious that's why the score was so odd...
I was amazed that GastÚn lost that first set that way and i was hoping he can retribute the gesture by getting himself together and playing like he`s been showing he knows lately and he did so the seccond set score brough me relief and confidence that , even I wasn't going to have MOya at the final, I will have Gaudio and for sure we all were about to have great , realy great, tennis...
Rafa might be not a top 10 but he desersve to be there soon and i hope GastÚn keeps winning points so he can mantain himself there because he is nowadays one of the most complete tennis players , and for sure the most enjoyable one...
