As much as i like to see David win...and i do...this was a little shocking. Schuettler should have put him away and will surely have major doubts IF he ever plays him again. Well done David for staying positive and fighting to the end - a truly great quality. Many can learn from his example. :worship:

It was not simple one, but you did it!

Congratulations, David!

She's probably trying to get the vodka and chocolates down. :o
I would do the same, except that I don't feel like leaving my house to buy some strong liquor, and I've already had my daily ration of chocolate and caffeine.

Well, David was supposed to win... so rather than see Rainer choke, I'll see it as good effort from Rainer! :bounce: I'm very positive he'll do better in weeks to come...

Well done David though... :)

rainer just can't win the close ones these days when in 03 he almost always did.

it's amazing how someone can play so well one year and just lose it the next. i know he pretty old but his game was so consistant and it just disappeared last year besides for monte carlo

Rainer :fiery: :smash:
Normally I rather have a close loss than a very clear one without chance, but not sure if this is good for Rainer  But so far, I tend to see the positive side and say: Rainer almost defeated Nalbandian who played well so far this year. That's an improvement to the Agassi match or losing to Patience in straight sets without chance.
