Which one:)?
Mine is the Wimbledon final, followed closely by the French Open final! But I enjoyed a lot all 4 finals:D!

The Wimbledon final was a classic, IMO. Gotta go for that one....although it's followed closely by this year's Aussie Open final. Yeah Safin! :woohoo:

Wimbledon by a mile. Was a great match to watch, with both the winner and loser very gracious at the end, just what I like to see. Plus I was there so.....

Wimbledon
Even though Roddick lost that match, I believe that was his high point in the entire 2004 season.

Only one choice for me --- AO 2005.

Star said something about Marat fans being in the wilderness for over 4 years. It was SO good to come out of exile --- I can't get enough of looking at photos of Marat holding the AO trophy.

Cool idea for a poll Billabong! :yeah:

Out of these four, I was only able to watch the US Open and Australian Open. I voted for the Australian Open, because there was so much pressure on both players -- it made it very excited. Pressure for Hewitt to end the drought of course, and pressure for Safin to prove himself. Excellent Final indeed. :D

Safin winning anything is a great match to me. Him winning the Aus Open finally, was bliss!

The latest one obviously because it was competitve on both sides--except the first set. It was really difficult to watch the French 04 final because it was weird but it turned out great.

It's probably really Hollywoodish of me, but OK, I'm a sucker for drama and an underdog. Gaudio and Coria rocked Paris out loud.

Tough one, but I went for the AO. The French Open was a close second, but I was so disappointed when Guillermo lost like that it was hard to be happy for Gaston. (Although I am a fan.) By the time Roger got to the finals of Wimbledon and the US Open, the end result wasn't in much doubt, so it was hard to get too excited about them. I just like drama, I suppose.

The question isn't the easiest.

Tenniswise I prefered Federer's destruction of Hewitt, but for the result it would have to be Gaudio and not because of the standard of tennis.

Roland Garros was certainly the most dramatic but i prefered the Wimbledon final because Federer won without playing his best and showed why he was a champion.

US Open, best tennis quality. One of Federer's most amazing performances and Hewitt was playing very well too.

The Australian Open final-because hewitt lost in his home country slam, and it just finished off what was for me a brilliant 2 weeks of tennis, though i only went to 2 days of play.

Well, I liked the result better in Australia (Go Marat!) but Wimbledon was the most competitive, US best quality, RG most Dramatic....I'm voting for Australia

Wimbledon for me. The grass, the men, though I did rather enjoy the Aus Open, even when Safin scared the hell out of me (and everyone else cheering for him) with that first set . But, all was right in the world by the end of the match :p Thanks Marat!

I voted Roland Garros for the sheer drama and excitement - and I still smile :) when I think of Gaston holding up that trophy.

-RG because of the great drama and beautiful personnality of Gaudio, with the public while he was blown away, then in his final speech ("papi, mami...")
-Then Wimby as Fed was a bit scared in the first set under Andrews' bombs, and then maintained focus to retain his title
-3rd would be AO with Marat achieving great results (Fed upset+title) he highly deserved, and all that with simplicity and serenity :worship:
-4th USO, Fed at his peak and two bagles taking so much space in Hewitt's mouth he was not able to yell... a bit short though

Although I wasn't too keen on the result, Coria's loss in the FO has to be best final in terms of sheer suspense of the will-he or won't-he variety. It was also painful to see at times, but I have to confess that made for good TV ... The Wimbledon final had its moments, and the USO final was a magnificent display of tennis skills.

My favourite final in terms of result was the recent AO with Safin winning so well, but even though I was really rooting for him,for me, the match itself wasn't a nail-biter, even though Marat fought back etc - Hewitt 'kind of' folded - not dramatically but enough - which lessened the excitement considerably.

RG. Drama, tension, surprise. And Beautiful Gaudio! That smile when he holds the trophy is a killer.

Well, quality-wise it's JesusFed's demolition of Hewitt at the USO final, Fed's tennis there was beyond any words, I was just sooo stunned..... and totally speechless. It was absolutely incredible to see this kind of tennis, I could never imagine witnessing something like this. But as for the competition I go for the Wimby final. That was really good quality-wise and competition-wise, a true classic.
RG - honestly, the drama WAS exciting but I'm not the biggest fan of these gentlemen so... not my fave final for sure. And Marat finally winning - the semi vs Fed took all the emotions I guess.

USO coz ROGER played an unbeliveable tennis and its when his forehand was really "on fire" that i don't see in his SEMI AO 05 "sign"

Favourite: the Australian Open final 2005

because Marat won:bigclap:

Least one: Roland Garros final 2004 because Coria was injured and Gaudio was the most lucky winner of all times :o :o

FO - it was just like a soap opera, so dramatic, gosh.

What can I say? I'm a drama queen myself... ;)

But the most dramatic final of all times was definitely the doubles at the OG in Athens... I almost cried for Kiwi & Shaker :bigcry:

Hmm.... well first off.... Roland Garros is last. Had drama, but I don't care much for either of the finalists, and the standard of tennis wasn't as good as the other 3.

Maybe this year's Australian Open.... I like Marat, he played beautfully and the final was such a relief. I was very unhappy about the prospect of another Hewitt slam.

U.S was close though, just because of the sheer quality of Federer's play.

Wimbledon had a high standard by Roddick, but Roger was very patchy, so it's third.
