I hope so too, maybe it will take my mind off Lindsay's loss. I don't know why, but I'm rooting for Safin even though I would usually root for Lleyton.

I am 165cm tall, and about 56kg. I don't particularly think I need to pop pills to "melt away 1kg of fat in 24hrs!". And to top it off, it's a global marketing scheme...from Spain or Singapore or something like that. Do those countries even have obese people!? Since MisterQ is here anyway, I'd mention how pissed I am that Me Talk Pretty One Day is still not available from my local libraries because of the waiting list.

I, however, picked up Trout Fishing in America, but it took me almost 30 minutes to search it in the database because I kept typing "FLY" fishing in America. I had to search the forums here before I realized my mistake.

And besides, if someone is taking the pill because they are having sex, then that is their own damn business. What goes on in my bed is none of the governments business.

My thoughts exactly. Why don't the hell they regulate men's shit too?

There is nothing else like it indeed! When I signed the book out, the librarian chuckled a bit, then told me not to give-up easily on the book. That was intriguing. Now I know what she means - I have never ever read anything like this before and I'm liking it (so far anyway).

Yesterday I got my pc back after a month without, so that was positive. :woohoo:

Today that changed ... I wanted to buy a train ticket to Austria for my holiday. We have some cheaper ones here, at least that is said in the commercials on tv and on the homepage of the company, but where are they? Never heard of anybody having such a ticket. So I lost almost an hour in that stupid office and had to pay the full price. :p And it's cold. And I still don't know when I will be able to work again. :( So that day really sucks.

Big difference between boys and girls in that regard. If my sisters ever talked about sex to my dad, he'd freak out too.

Republicans make me sick. Just read an article about how they want strip back bankruptcy protection for most americans --and theyre not making exceptions for bankruptcy due to medical emergencies, accidents, death, etc. They don't even want to preserve bankruptcy protection for their soldiers fighting abroad in Iraq or for Senior citizens. But OF COURSE they had no problem defeating amendments that would have taken away a rich person's right to preserve his assets no matter how illegally he may have obtained them. In other words, a rich executive who has made millions cheating people will be more able to keep his millions through this loophole than ghetto poor will be able to subsist drowning in credit card debt.

The United States makes me sick.

Just a few years after I graduated our team's star running back had his hamstrings cut up over a busted drug deal. I still can't quite figure out what happened. When I went there, it was a nice, middle-class school regardless of our racial make-up. I was bussed in (racial integration was a big deal in the 70s and early 80s) but most of us came from two-parented...relatively strict households. Things, obviously, have changed. Of course, none of that explains why/how my classmates...turned so dark.

Funny how it seems to work out that way. When I was still lookin', the ones I'd fall for...if they were fine and single...were gay. I say, you just need to get back in the saddle again, GF. Find yourself a boy toy...and have fun.

OK...maybe we should move that discussion elsewhere. It's supposed to be about what's POed me for the day.

Well...it's snowing outside...and I'm stuck...in a basement, programming a go-nowhere project. :fiery:

You're right. I told mom I'm gonna be "Stella" (heck, I can still pass for twenty-something) and find a boy toy-and I will have lots of fun.
Say, why are you all gettin' all the snow. We ain't had a drop of snow yet-maybe a spit here and there, but accumulation? No.

a girl from my class who's said some awful things about me and other ppl is trying to be friends again.... who does she think she is - the whole class hates her and her three friends now (they wrote stuff about the rest of our class on tables at school and stuff)

geez it's like we're in friggin' high school

the girl probably realised that she'll be in the same class for 3 more years.. and that's not a fun thing if you know everyone would love to see you dead (the tension in class is extreme sometimes)

Tell her to go away. Someone like that is not worth your time. There's no guarantee that she won't do it again. You're better off not associating with someone like that. For your own peace of mind, don't even think about it or her-or her three friends for that matter.

Yeah my local team, the Warriors, once put up 2 in the 4th qtr of a game in Toronto I believe. As long as I can hit another middle with the Lakers, I'll be fine.

I hate them too, but money is money. I can't lose money on that game anymore as I middled. A Lakers win by 6,7, or 8 and I hit both bets.

I love Syracuse and Golden State, but fade both teams quite often

Syracuse... good choice. :)

Although, for betting purposes... they're awful. If McNamara shoots well, they win. If not, they lose.

And the zone, as always, is never a lockdown defense against any team.

I could see them winning the whole tourney with him and Warrick... or losing the 5-12 game to Old Dominion or something.

I think the winner will be either Uconn, Oklahoma, or Villinova. I don't see Illinois or North Carolina pulling it off. I'm probably dead wrong as I pegged 3 of the final 4 last year and had Uconn defeating GTech in the championship.

Gmac only shoots bad against Uconn lol. Warrick is great. Forth sucks. I don't see us doing too well this year.

Hmm, almost as sad as the way Philadelphia played tonight.

Warriors probably get murdered tomorrow against the Pistons. They are playing well, but back to back in the midst of a 12 day, 8 game road trip will have its effects on the young team.

Webber is useless for Philly. You should've heard the crowd today, he missed like 2 or 3 layups in the 3rd going in and out and they were letting him hear it. Not good especially since he is one sensitive guy.

I used to hate open book tests when I was in school. The worst. The book is pretty much useless, because you don't have time to learn the stuff anyways during the test and as a result of giving the students an open book, the exam is usually tougher. Better luck next time

We had "open book quizzes" in a class last semester. They were silly hard though, and we only got 10 minutes. Tests on online courses are interesting as well, but they often compensate with increased difficulty and a time limit since they know you are cheating.
