I like Berlocq's game, nice claycourter with good net skills but I just hope he would grunt less. Clearly increased volume of grunting in the last game, a bit of gamesmanship there IMO.

Still, nice to see argies go to the semis. Would love for Nalbandian to get this title before he retires and his time is running out. Shame that Del Potro won't be playing in the semis, will be tough to beat the Czechs away.

Well the Argie team is filled with claycourters apart from Nalbandian and maybe Zeballos who's game can translate well to indoor courts. But a fit Stepanek will give them a handful on a fast indoor HC, and Berdych shouldn't lose his singles matches. I'd say doubles is essential for argies but not for the czechs.

We will need Nalbandian and Zeballos to beat their #2. Monaco sucks indoors.

And the doubles will be key.

Actually, Del Potro should stop this bullshit with Jaite and play at least against Berdych.

If Del Potro doesn't play Argentina is toast. Monaco sucks in all surfaces this year and Berlocq and Zebolla are useless outside clay and especially on an ice rink, they will struggle mightily against even Rosol or Hajek. Maybe if Nalbandián can regain some form he could be dangerous indoors.

Wont be easy against rosol on a lightning quick surface

Argentina would be favorites for the semis if Delpo played, as it turns out their only slim chance is if Nalbandian rolls back the years somehow. Firing Jaite would maybe not be such a bad idea...

As for this match, the few bits I saw were really poor. Simon really needs to stop with this nonsense of playing while injured all the time, it's not doing him any favors.

Czech SF line-up will probably be Berdych-Stepanek for both singles and doubles. So Argentina would really need DelPo. Zeba/Nalby can play well in doubles but I don't see Sexy/Berdy losing in doubles. And unless DelPo plays, anybody else but Nalby will lose to Berdych and even to Stepanek. But DelPo could take two points, at least one for sure. And Nalby could beat Stepanek or doubles team could surprise. In short, Czechs will surely win unless DelPo plays, and even then it will be tight.

Yeah, so utterly classless that in the middle of celebrating the biggest victory of his life he took a moment to go over to the French team and to talk to Gilles Simon. How utterly nasty of him.

And the Argentine team has so much motivation and belief (Berlocq said belief and confidence were the key for him this week-end : he believed a lot he could win, and Zeballos looked the same). And they have Nalbandian, and I can see no reason why this great indoors player could not prepare specifically to be great for this tie : he's 4 years younger than Haas
Making the semifinal means Nalbandian will play another six months. That's all I was hoping for.
