He should return just for the game vs Daniel Garza.

You have rather to deal with it my finnish friend, he's done and retired some months ago.
It's offical. Sad to retire at age 26, but that's what he chose and rather to be a coach or something like that.. or run a restaurant. We always wondered how he was able to be a top player with so much overweight! :D
I know the hungarian girlfriend of him, she is like 22, was a big hope to be a good WTA player, lives since years in the US, Vegas, LA. But she was same attitude, now she only wants to give lessons too.

wow, sad news, but thank you so much for the info. can you tell me more about his retirement? i have googled him a lot about this, but couldnt find any info =( i dont speak hungarian though

Sorry, I cannot. Because I don't have info. I noticed also that he stopped playing and is no longer on the ATP rankings.
I also googled now seeing this thread and found only 2-3 articles, mainly about our Davis Cup loss vs. Luxembourg. It was mentioned there that he already retired and acts as a tennis coach for the future to make a living. He probably realized that he has no future to break into the elite, so he "pulled a Borg" at 26 and retired. ;)
But seriously, I can understand his decision and also there was no big media hype about it, maybe he just wanted to retire in peace, it was nothing to be proud of.. Yes it's sad, I like him as a person and he had some success, but let's hope that Fucsovics and one day maybe Mate Zsiga will make their ways to the top.
But this is another thread.. Marton is now at his best ranking nr.250 this week! Hopefully he can enter the SW19 quallys.

yeah its good he doesnt want media attention while retiring but at least giving an interview about it, would be ok for the people who follow his steps, i think...
well, good luck in his new life
