Expecting a similar performance to the horror show that was his match against Federer in 2006. Hopefully not, though.

The way Haas and Djokovic played today, Haas will take a set off Nole.

I'm hoping that Nole can win in 3, though, and that losing a set will be beneficial to him in the log run. :)

Tough one for Novak.
Weather conditions can be the problem.
No1e in 3 like at Rogers Cup last year.

Haas in two straight sets

Poor Tommy, he is going to be demolished by Nole :(

Another R4 in a Masters for Haas, some nice consistency here. He will way more competitive here than vs JMDP last week, but I still don't see him taking a set: something like 7-5 6-3 for Novak I'd say.

Haas actually played well in their Shanghai match but Diokovic was goating in that match.

The only thing I know is by the end of the match Leng Jai will be greatly distressed which is never a bad thing

Haas doesn't match up too badly vs Nole imo. I expect Novak in 2, but competitive scorelines, wouldn't be overly surprised if Haas sneaked a set either.

He got a set in Toronto in another quality match. Out of the top 4 he matches up the best against Nole but he hasn't really played Murray recently.

He doesn't match up too badly with Federer either. Among the top guys, Nadal and Del Potro are the only ones he can't really trouble at all, all the others he has at least a fighting chance on any given day. He has beaten Federer, Tsonga and Berdych in the past 12 month and played Djokovic quite well too.

His matches against Federer are usually entertaining and close but he rarely wins. Federer is basically just a better version of him in terms of consistency and mentality. Del Potro is far and away his worst match up - really useless against him.

Nole usually plays his best against Haas, at least on hard court.

Tommy will win because Djokovic will retire for not being capable of dropping a game to Haas no matter how hard he tries. Djokovic will retire 6-0 5-0 40-0 out of respect for the old man

Haas can probably beat Nole only in grass. Anywhere else Nole wins. So Nole in 2.

That's what they have been saying for 5 years, and they keep on failing.

That's what they said 5 years ago, and they always fail.

It's not like Haas was ever in contention for big titles so Id say there was never any steam to begin with

Would love Hass to pull it off but when you consider Nole just absorbed everything Tommy threw at him in Shanghai, a faster surface than this, you know the outcome of this one straight away.
