Kei in 2 hopefully.

Huge chance for Nishikori here.

We all know that Nishikori is a much more talented player than Vulture.

He proved it so many times including The Olympic Games.

So, why not again ? He's the clear favourite here.

Nishi in 2.

Hopefully Kei as otherwise Ferrer will somehow get to another Master's SF only to lose easily to Djokovic.

Nishikori may well win this, though he's not playing great
Seems to be a poor match up for Ferrer, and Ferrer's current form is quite horrible. Probably the real QF

Kei disappointed me in their AO meeting. If he loses this in 2 it will be another stupid performance.

Master Kei on his way to meet his Grand Master in the SFs.

Nishikori will probably lose easily to Djokovic as well.

Federer in 2

Quite a test here. Should be Ferrer in 2, but needs to up his game if he wants to win for sure.

Djokovic has been almost a lock in the final from the moment the draw was made, actually probably from the moment Federer and Nadal withdrew. The only player bar Murray with a chance of beating him here was Tsonga, and even that was a very, very long shot. But yes, Kei in the SF at least would provide something different from the usual Ferrer beatdowns in late stages, not to mention he'd have like a 5% chance of an upset, while Ferrer would have 0.

Delusional as always.

Everything Ferrer throws at him, Djokovic just swallows and spits it out with interest.

Hopefully Kei in 2, but i reckon it'll be a tight 3 setter that can go either way.

Surely Kei can't play as bad as he did at the Australian Open :o

It's hardly possible considering 1/3 of the match's points were Kei UEs.

If he is to lose, then hopefully he won't put in an embarassing performance like at the AO and against Berlocq.

I want to see Kie face Nole again because last time they met, Kei bageled Djokovic

It wasn't embarassing, he played AO with knee tendinitis, tried to avoid rallying with Ferrer and go for a lot and he missed, nothing more to it. I'm pretty sure he won't be mindlessly bashing every ball on Monday  Also, Djokovic was burnt out in that Basel match - and I think injured too - so I wouldn't take much from it. I don't think Kei has any chance of beating a good Djokovic unless/until he beefs up that serve big time.

I think Ferrer in 3 sets, Kei doesn't seem at top form, altough he's a bad matchup for Ferru.

Kei in 2. This old grinder has been overstepping his bounds for long enough by getting into top 4 with such mediocre career. We aren't in mid 2000's anymore where guys like him regularly made too 5....

It was embarassing for me, because i bigged up Kei to people before the match, and then he proceeded to make a ton of errors

Yeah, never do that, Kei's health makes him probably the most unpredictable players on tour. If I were a betting man, I'd never put any money on any Kei matches, except when he's playing Federer or Del Potro - defeat is a safe bet in those cases regardless of how he plays due to matchup.

If this match is any longer than 7 minutes, Kei will be exhausted/injured for the next round should he win. For the sake of the competition; Ferrer in 2 please.

Haven't see Kei play lately, but Ferrer is in terrible form. Surely, Kei has a good shot to take this. I'd say Samurai in 3.

Lenders and pfl must be really excited right now. Genuine chance for Ferrer to lose early.

Doesn't change my point. Ferrer could lose before QF in two consecutive tournaments. That is like a Lenders and pfl wet dream.

Probably Ferrer in 2.

He straight-setted Nishikori in their 2 last meetings on hard courts. Besides, David is generally very consistent at beating players lower ranked than him.

I find the talk of Ferrer folding meekly in the semis hilarious when the alternative is Nishikori going through. Kei will probably retire if the temperature is above 20C and the match lasts over 15 minutes...

Anyway, Ferrer has been pretty average lately and Nishi likes this matchup. Kei in straights...
