I heard he's not playing because he's playing a hard court tournament somewhere else.

I understand why the argies wouldn't like it, but I think Guille is really wanting to play well on hard courts and playing a clay tournament right when he is getting ready for two BIG tournaments on hard court may not be the best thing. I hope you understand him too.

Ok, Willie, let me explain you. Coria made a deal with the organization of Marseille, I don't know any numbers, but this tournament (Marseillle) wasn't played on the same week as Buenos Aires last year.

This year, the calendar was modified, leaving Marseille and Buenos Aires at the same week. Coria couldn't break the deal (if he tried it), and unluckily, he won't show him here. It's sad, but that's the way it is.

It's too bad these tournaments have fallen during the same week and that Guille already commited to the other tournament. I'm sure he would love to play in Buenos Aires and to defend his title.

I can understand that his fans in Argentina may be disappointed that he won't be playing in his home town, but I think it's very honourable for him to keep a commitment that he's made and a sign that Guille is maturing, which many of his "non-fans" will never give him credit for.

Willy, I'm glad that you are a true fan of Guille's and that you can see beyond your disappointment and understand Guille's reasoning.

well if he goes to Marseille, he'll probably play Rotterdam after that, just like the article said in an argentinian newpaper. So I will be a happy girl then (coz that would mean I can see him AGAIN)
