Hi Nacho.:wavey:

Very detailed info you got here. So this is a Intra-Spain tourney? How many you guys get every year? I only heard of the Championship of Spain in the mid year. You got to tell us more about the system in Spain.

So the winner can claim to be the best in Spain :) Well, at least the bragging right, I supposed.

Hey, thx for the info.

Moyke did play the most matches and won the most too in that spanish evenement.
He is simply the best, the statistics shows that.

Carlos won it last year over Tommy, but he has lost two finals to Corretja in 1998 & 2000.

These are all the winners:

2001
Carlos Moyá def Tommy Robredo
2000
Alex Corretja def Carlos Moyá
1999
Francisco Clavet def Alex Corretja
1998
Alex Corretja def Carlos Moyá
1997
Felix Mantilla def Francisco Clavet
1996
Sergi Bruguera def Francisco Clavet
1995
Sergi Bruguera def Francisco Clavet
1994
Tomas Carbonell def Francisco Clavet

As you can see, Clavet is the king of this Master at the moment, with 1 title and 4 finals.

i feel a trip to barcelona coming on :)

claudine140

moyke isn't playing the masters this year, because his back is too tired, he must rest for a while
and so he can not give 100 % and he doen't want to loose in the first round. That is normal i think, moyke showed us this last week that he gives himself for 100% if he is able to do it.

It starts on Thursday at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. The closest you'll get to a website is http://www.nobeltenis.com/

Anyone else going?

:) VAMOS Alex, Tommy, Feli!!!!

Why do you hate Moya, Nacho??? I never liked him much before, esp. when he beat Alex at RG98 but I think he has matured in his game and attitude and is more humble now and more hardworking... in fact, I like him!! [so does my mom!!! so he can't be that bad!!:p ]

Nacho
11-20-2002, 04:03 PM
I hate him coz Lleyton won Shanghai because of him :fiery:

Sorry but i think moya was always humble, sometimes too humble, he always praises his opponents, and when he lost a match it was because the other is a better player. From the beginning he had a good attitude during the match, and maturity, but indeed now he is working more. When he was younger he hated the trainings.

nacho
why do you say that you hate moya
it is not fair
moya has beaten hewitt several times this year, have you forgotten that?
if you hate moya because he beat costa and so hewitt could go to the semis, than you must hate safin and costa too , because they lost in the group matches from hewitt, and than you must hate ferrero too because he is the one who lost from hewitt in the final.
Think before you said such a thing!!!

RogiFan: Anabel and Conchi play later today

Claudine: I don't really hate Carlos, but I'm still mad. I know he did what he had to do, coz it wouldn't have been fair play if he had let Costa win. I'm just angry coz Juanqui lost to Lleyton once again in the Master. Besides, if Costa had made it to the SF he would have probably lost to Roger. But I would of course prefer Juanqui losing to roger rather than losing to Lleyton

I'm still annoyed, that's all. In fact I like Carlos, but I won't forgive him untill the next season ;)

Nacho

David Ferrer def Tommy Robredo 6-1 6-1   :fiery:  :(

Geez, Tommy:eek:
 Feli. I hope he's fine or he'll be fine comes next year. I have great hope on Feli:D

Vamos Alex Vamos

Nacho, don't get mad at Moya. He's nice enough to help Juanqui get over his lost to Hewitt after the final. But Moya should have told Juanqui how to beat that little mouse:) I'm focusing my anger on Hewitt:D

Anyway, also like to congrats the spaniards for their great performance this year. 3 spaniards in Top 10, Ferrero, Moya and Costa. And 13 spaniards in Top 100, most of all countries. Once again proves that Spain is THE tennis nation.:bounce:
