JELENA Dokic arrives in town tomorrow and her first stop will be Melbourne Park to meet with Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley.

Dokic will contest the Australian Open wildcard playoff at Melbourne Park from December 15-21. Her return to the world's top 180 and Australia's best four means she won't have to rely on a discretionary invitation.

But Tiley said certain conditions would be imposed on the 25-year-old who left the country on indifferent terms after her attempt to qualify last year.

"In this new way forward we don't provide handouts and we don't provide funding," Tiley said.

"But we do provide competitions and plenty of opportunities for the players - courts, balls and coaches.

"She made some comments in January that didn't show much appreciation for the coaches who had helped her, so I told her that I wasn't happy with that and I'd like her to apologise to those coaches before she had any chance to be considered for an opportunity.

"She did and I said, 'an apology is an apology, but we'll have to see your actions after it for me to determine if the apology was sincere or not'. So she is coming into town and I'm going to meet her.

"I also want her to hit with our young players because I want them to really benefit.

"If Jelena does that then she might have opportunities."

Tiley also said he had received an indication from Mark Philippoussis he would not contest the Open.

"We haven't discussed the main draw, but all indications are that Mark will not play," Tiley said. "But I'll never say never on that because you never know what could happen."

Meanwhile, Bernard Tomic is likely to receive a wildcard for the the Brisbane International, despite the latest controversy to engulf the young tennis ace.

The International Tennis Federation has launched an investigation after the 16-year-old forfeited a second-round match at the Sorrento International Futures tournament in Perth on Thursday.

Tomic's father, John, ordered his son from the court, claiming he was not being treated fairly.

Brisbane International tournament organiser Steve Ayles said Tomic would still be a high priority to be offered a wildcard, provided he was not given a suspension by the ITF.

Tomic's fate is expected to be known this week.
