When I first heard Christina, before she had achieved major fame, I thought she had real talent. I didn't like her overuse of melismatic embellishments (that stuff always drives me nuts), but she seemed to have musicality and potential. But it seems like she has not really taken herself seriously from a musical standpoint, and now it's all about sales, scandal and pop stardom. Maybe that's harsh, since I don't exactly know her "oeuvre" in depth.

Britney is more one-dimensional, yet somehow I find her music more palatable.

Christina gets my vote, by a hair, and with serious reservations... ;)

CHRIS AGUILERA!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's a real singer ;)
May i be honest here?! Britney should be a dancer not a singer LOL! oki, i can say that cause i was fan of both but i still like Christina's songs... otherwise of Britney! Guess I was influenced by the midia :D well, i was too young and the first clip: "baby one more time" was pretty great!!! that's why i started to be Britney's fan.

btw, is true that britney it's pregnant?! :haha:

Christina is the bomb, she has the better voice, the better style, the better looks, the better body (Britney is too clumsy) and her songs are also better than Britney´s. Britney´s old songs were alright but her new ones are simply annoying.

:worship:

The day one of them looks half of sexy, smart and provocative as early 90s Madonna (Vogue, Justify my love, Erotica), that one would win a Chemistry Noble Prize ;)

Britney co-wrote Everytime (the only song of her i really like). and I was  She rarely does that. You're right about Christina, but lately IMO she looks like a tired whore early in the morning :ras:

I don´t like the way she tries to copy Marylin Monroe. She should stick to hear own style way back then when "Stripped" was out, it was way cooler and in my opinion she will never be able to be like the real Marylin. She was a goddess.

I have to admit i couldn't stop singing oops i did it again when the song came out :o . Britney looked really sexy with that red outfit and the long hair, but her videos are childish most of the time. Now she wants to look sexier but IMO she still has that Mickey Mouse Club look :scared: it's like a ten year old girl saying .. fuck me :bolt:

Christina has better chops, trills and general technique, but her image and tedious predictability of her albums annoy me. It's not individual at all, she's just honing the singers from the early 1900's and passing it off as original. That in itself is not bad, but it's already been done so many times (Stefani, Pfieffer). And her music? She pushes her voice far too often and, frankly it can become piercing after some time. No light and shade at all. Stripped was a much better album than her latest offering, but now she's ultimately catering to an image in everything she does.

Britney has better production and picks better songs. She originally was the more attractive singer, but of course no longer is. But credit to her, because at least she does set trends in the music scene and has her own unique qualities. She practically re-invented the female popstar in the 90s and at that stage Christina was a cheap imitation. I like her tones and she knows how to keep an audience listening for an entire album. Christina is lots of filler. Britney may be more limited vocally, but ultimately, she's sold more records and I'd choose her over Christina.
