RIP Scotso

He was one of the first Simon fans on this board and remained an ardent supporter through thick and thin. He called this place "le poulailler" and made it his online home for years. His joyful playfulness but also his struggle for health and happiness will always stay with me.

Scott passed away last week. Rest in peace my dear dear friend. You'll be sorely missed.

What sad news :sad: I didn't know he had health problems. I remember him from Gulbis forum, he was a fan even before Ernests got his own forum here on MTF.

RIP :awww:

I didn't manage to know him very well ( I entered here mid-2010) but he seemed like a really nice guy and a true Gilles fan. RIP :sad:

Oh no. I remember him being cyber bullied and sharing some hugs and hope back then. Had no idea he was that ill. :sad: He was quite young wasn't he?

I didn't know him very well, only from his posts here. But I always liked him in this part of the forum. I'm quite shocked that one of my fellow Gilou fans died. :sad: RIP Scotso.

This shocked me :sad:

He'd been on this forum since before even me - which is a long time and he was always lovely to me and I had a lot of time for him even though I hadn't been in contact with him for a while now. Such sad news

RIP Scotty

Awful news!
He was such a lovely funny guy and although he had problems he always seemed to come out the other side stronger and still smiling. I will miss him and my thoughts are with him and Stephen and his network of family and friends xxx

OMG!:tears::tears:

Scotty made me so welcome when I joined mtf way back when, I too remember him posting in threads for Ernests before Ernests got a Forum established here, and of course here in Gilles Forum, he made this place his home.. A really nice guy. My condolences to his family and friends.

And just a massive 'virtual' hug to all who got closer to him through mtf.:hug::hug::hug: And thanks for opening this thread here,a terrible thing to have to announce, but a very fitting thing to do:hug::hug:

RIP Scotty. Taken so young.:sad::sad: Terrible:sad::sad:

I'm overwhelmed by sadness for Scotty’s passing. In the past few years getting to know Scott and the tough life that he had, and to think that just 2 months ago life was so promising for him, and suddenly all was taken away, it just so heartbreaking. It may seem that we are just casual acquaintances in a tennis forum, but some people make marks on our life we don’t even notice until they are gone. The sadness I felt the past 2 days made me realize how much he has touched me thru the many chats we had here in the past. He's gone to a better place, but he was here, liked and loved.

I just wanted to let some of my friends here know that I might not be around for a while. I'm not sure. Everything's okay, so don't worry, I just have some things I need to work on for a while.

And that my friend, is also why we loved you. And always will.
