"Fairy Tale in New York" - The Pogues and Kirsty McColl

"Stop the Cavalry" - Jona Lewie

"I Believe in Father Christmas" - Greg Lake

All Christmas Top 10 hits in England in the 70's and 80's - not so well known anywhere else I don't think.

I know 'Stop The Cavalry' well, my Dad has the record... but then I just looked it up and it came out Christmas 1980 - we were in England for 3 months in 1981 so Dad would have heard it then. :topic: I also just found out that Jona Lewie was Tery Dactyl and the Dinosaurs  I love 'Seaside Shuffle'!

Ok, my favourite Christmas song is "All I Want For Christmas Is You"... I got the CD single for Christmas one year and now every year I have to play it on Christmas morning and it makes me happy!

I also love Hall and Oates version of "Jingle Bell Rock", Wham's "Last Christmas" and the original 80's "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

I REALLY like "O' Holy Night" (if it needs to be sung by musicians... then its on Hanson's christmas album. How friggin embarrassing!) "Do they know its Christmas" is also very very

Actually I hate Christmas and Christmas songs but "Do They Know It’s Christmas" has been on my mind for quite some time already and I always catch myself singing it. :o

The original version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas', the one of 1984 is definitely great! And any Christmas song sung by Nat King Cole! ;)

There is hardly any music I don't like, but christmas songs just make me want to puke. And i do enjoy the christmas time and am not depressed. It's just that from late november onwards you're bombarded with all this pseudo-feelgood-music. Bwaah.
The only christmas song i can stand is Driving home for Christmas, by Chris Rea.
