for the French speaking Joubert-community:;), sorry I have no time to translate.

Ce qu'il me propose me convient parfaitement.

I know is not the best translation as it is google translator I used:)

Brian Joubert for a first (14/11/2006) Poitevin, here with its trainer, wants to finally gain the Bompard trophy where it was hitherto always classified second. To register its name with the prize list finally. One month and half after having gained Master' S of Clermont-Ferrand, Brian Joubert hopes to make some in the same way this weekend with the trophy Eric Bompard (of the 17 at November 19 in Paris-Bercy), a test which resists to him for the moment. At the time of these two preceding participations, the vice-champion of the world poitevin was each time classified second of the Parisian competition. “That goes a time, judges it. That really holds me with heart to gain this Great Price. The year spent, I deserved to gain it but the judges decided some differently. For me, it is more important to gain Bompard than Skate America. ” And this year, the way seems released. Because Brian Joubert repeats it, it never smelled itself as well as this season. “The other years I felt less ready, acknowledges it. There, I worked well this summer with Annick (Dumont who prepared it). I am quieter and since I work with Jean-Christophe (Simond), all occurs very well. I did not think that that would function as well. What it proposes to me is appropriate me perfectly. It is very pleasant. The year spent, I arrived on the track at the drive and I did not know what I was going to do. There, all is planned and I can prepare mentally. It is the foot. ” Joubert and his new trainer perceive a rise to power of the skater poitevin. “Since Masters, I progressed. We will continue on this impetus and to try things, full with things”, launches it while remaining voluntarily secret, being satisfied to release “with the drive, I always work the free one by trying three quadruple jumps. ” All these elements contribute to make Joubert happy, quite simply. A data being able to appear banal, but which very often constitutes one of the key elements of the success of the sportsmen. Poitevin seems to profit from it. “I feel ready, I do not put myself a question and I am trustful, repeats it. Compared to last year, I am not stressed and I think that that will go. It is a competition like the others, except that it is in France and which I will patinate in front of the public of my country. But I do not feel pressure. ” Beyond the test, Brian Joubert will be able to also learn some lessons on perception from the judges from his new free program, on the symphonic version of the song of Metallica “Appocalyptica”. “It is the first time that I will present it at judges at the time of an international competition. Generally, I have evil with the French judges but there that occurs well. ” Bompard also constitutes the starting point of a small marathon. Poitevin will connect by the Cut from Russia in Moscow (of the 23 at November 26) and the championships from France in Orleans (of November 30 to December 3). “One will not be to 100% with the championships of France. The priority is to gain the first two competitions to go finally from the Great Price to Saint-Pétersbourg. The Cut of Russia held me with heart because ice-skating it is over there. ” To become tsar with the country of the stars of the shoe.

The gist is there, Brian always trying to jump his opponents into oblivion.;)

Brian wins:)!

Frenchman Brian Joubert landed two quadruple jumps to capture the men's title at the Trophee Bompard grand prix on Saturday.

Hot favourite Joubert, who had taken the lead after Friday's short programme, scored a total of 231.08 points.

Skating to a selection of Metallica songs and the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, he beat compatriot Alban Preaubert, who was second on 211.73 points.

Russia's Sergei Dobrin was third with 193.5 points.

"I am proud to win this competition. It will give me confidence for the rest of the season," said Joubert, whose main rivals, world champion Stephane Lambiel of Switzerland and Canadian Jeffrey Buttle, were both absent.

Bulgarians Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski deprived France of a double when they won the dance competition by less than three points ahead of local favourites Isabelle Delobel and Olivier Schoenfelder.

Since there are some Joubert fans here, I'm sure someone can answer this question. What is the music called that Brian skated on in the long program at the Olympics in Turin? It sounds like something from Riverdance but I don't know what it's called. I really like it. :)

Joubert : “ Je marque l'histoire ” (27/11/2006)

« On construit.
Messieurs : 1. Joubert (Fra), 237,83 pts ; 2. Johnny Weir (USA) 196,28 ; 3. Ilia Klimkin (Rus), 187,45. Danse sur glace : 1. Tanith Belbin/Benjamin Agosto (USA), 186,33 […] 3. Isabelle Delobel/Olivier Schoenfelder (Fra), 183,53. Dames : 1. Sarah Meier (Sui) 159,17. Couples : 1. Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy (Ger) 179,45.
