No prob. The precipatation (rain) doens't look too heavy in Houston so I guess there will be a few delays, but hopefully not too long. And WHAT is ESPN gonna show during delays?? The Fed match from yesterday. 3 minutes!!!

It's turned kind of chilly in the west. It's raining here today and I wouldn't be surprised if it snowed. It's gotten chilly in Las Vegas too. In the 50's with some rain forcast for today and tomorrow. Warming up a bit as the week goes on, but it will be in the low 60's in the day time.

Why should you have heard of it? I'me sure there are MANY towns in the Netherlands I have never ever heard of. It's just a little town. Sometimes Europeans know the town because it's a tourist town mainly. I dont' think it's gonna get mentioned in your geography classes. ;)

But here's a map if that helps you.

http://www.trektravel.com/Assets/images/370x370/05TT_eMap_Moab_lg.gif

This is the icon of the area.... Delicate Arch in Arches National Park. The town is about 10 miles from this arch as the crow flies. The town is between this arch and the mountains in the distance.

It's better than a tornado :p

It's ok. I grew up on the great plains so I've been in countless tornado watches and alerts and been down in the basement for hours. I actually like tornado weather. I love that stillness and the green black sky just before a tornado gathers. It's not good to be actually hit by a tornado, but watching at a distance is

But you know there was a tornado in Salt Lake City just a few years ago. It was kind of freaky. Just a baby one though. It did some damage downtown.

I really don't like cold weather either. But it doesn't get bitterly cold here and we have practically NO snow. It snows up in the mountains but not down here in the valley.

Pancakesong
11-23-2004, 03:25 PM
ok..

here is there almost no snow.. just a few days a year.. but it is cold! not as cold as you can skating, but a few degree's above 0 ºc.. in the winter:p

It gets colder than that here, but the summer gets really HOT so that makes up for it. I :inlove: hot, dry weather. Cold wet weather is my least favorite.

WHoa!!!! You mean you've SEEN one??!!!! AWSOME!!! Dude! that is so cool. My bro would freak out. He loves meteorology. He knows how to predict weather patterns and stuff like that. We get alot of tornados ja. One time we almost got hit. My bro was like "Well there's a tornado on the ground near us. If we're on the rain side, it won't hit us. If we're on the hail side, we're gonna get hit." Sure enough we were on the rain side...last time. The hail side of the storm was real bad. Of course he was right, and the tornado hit. But I like that kind of weather too. I mean, it never get's like Texas, but it's still really cool...and scary. Yeah I heard about that one in Salt Lake. My brother won't let me forget  He knows every tornado that ever hit in the entire country. He's crazy

OMG. It was just his night, last night. Uh dude. We had like...5 tonados in our area. I was totally freaked out cuz a wall cloud with a MASSIVE hook echo with 90 knots of wind sheer passed directly over my sisters area. Then after it passed her, it came in our direction. It was midnight, but you could still see that the sky was green. My bro was so pumped. He even dared go outside  I feared for him  Crazy kid. It missed us by a few miles. All we got was torrential rain (flood). Tornados messed up the county north of us though. About 7 counties are under a State of Emergency.

  What a exprience!! You brother is a tornados-fanatic.
I think it'll never happen to me. There are few ternodos here, it's pretty cool you've seen it. but it's dangerous and will causes huge demage, isn't it?
And no snow here! It's still about 20 degree here... :umbrella:

Pancakesong

:D

do you give the chickens names?

star
11-27-2004, 04:19 PM
yeah....... well, it's a little difficult when you have to go out and kill gloria or mary or susan. So maybe naming farm animals isn't quite the thing to do.

And I'm glad you think they are cute GG. Because, I really don't like grown chickens. The little chicks are cute and the pullets are cute, but... just grown up leghorn chickens arent' so cute.

Some of the other varieties are cute.... the brown ones... etc.

And this is my FAVORITE :inlove: thread!

I love the way it's meandered and has NOTHING to do with the original title.

Guille's Girl
11-27-2004, 04:43 PM
 Well all the grown up chickens are nice. I'm scared of our White-rock Leghorn rooster though. He always wants to fight me  And YES, I have been scratched up numerous times by that bastard :fiery: And we've got a Barred-rock rooster and New Hampshire Red rooster. They are nice...mostly. And we got this one strange rooster that's scared of everything  He's a Silver-spangled Hamburg. We named him Sebastian cuz that's Guille's middle name. Unfortunately, we did name all the chickens...even after our dad told us not too :o Oops. But it was my bro's fault! He started naming the roosters and then we started naming the hens too. Dude, we use to let then out of their coops so they could eat grass and stuff. But this one time, 2 huge black dogs attacked them :crying2: and I was so pissed off. And one of the brown hens got really messed up  SO we had to keep her in the house for like, a week until she healed. I named her Guillermo  Never call her "Guille". My sister was like "Isn't that a boys name?" and I was like "So??" :p  And dude, she's the BRAVEST chicken ever. And she knows her name :haha: Just say "C'mere Guillermo!" and here she comes :haha: it so great. And my mom can't call her cuz she can't say "Guillermo" Anyway, it's really freaky when it storms cuz I get really worried about them. But they be a'ight cuz dey hardcore :rocker2:

2 of our Bantam roosters got in a fight today! Was disturbing. They were DEFINATELY trying to kill eachother. They're still like...7 months old. Old enough though. My bro and dad stopped them. I didn't want to see :o It went out later to see though. Their heads are all bloody and shizz. Real ugly. Anyway, we separated them :yeah: Crazy chickens.

i saw a flyer about it:p and asked my mother or we could do that:p

it is because many chickens in holland are on 'batteries', they can't even move. so some ppl wanted to save some chickens:p
