I am unemployed too, kinda lazy by nature. I try to be useful and keep my self busy. I do the dishes and mop sometimes, if that counts for anything. I spend half of my day's sending resumes and cover letters and about another third of my day checking for replys.

And he refuses to bathe nonetheless, the dirty petulant child. And then global warming happens and the permafrost melts and mud is everywhere, and all his clean white family and friends die, and he is all alone in the vast Arctic with only a sea lion to talk to, but at least he was right all along!

It's my take on the grandmother's tale from Büchner's Woyzeck: ;)

“MARGARET. All right, Grandma ’ll tell us a story.

GRANDMOTHER. Sit, sit.

Once upon a time there was a poor little boy who had no father and mother; everything was dead and there was no-one left in the whole world. Everything was quite dead, so he went off, whimpering. All day and all night. And since there was no-one left on earth he decided to go up to heaven where the moon shone down so kind. But when he got to the moon it was a lump of rotten wood. Then he went to the sun, but when he got there it was a withered-up sunflower. And when he got to the stars they were little spangled midges stuck there, like the ones shrikes stick on blackthorns. So he went back to the earth, but the earth was an overturned pot. He was completely alone, and he sat down and cried. He’s sitting there still, all alone.”

I don't think I have. I wanted to see Grizzly Man but somehow never did.

The opera (spelled Wozzeck because of the edition it was based on) is, in my opinion, the greatest atonal opera ever written. Now that alone would make many people run for the door, but if you are going to sit through an atonal opera, that's the one to try. Usually I can't stand that sort of thing, but a lot of the music is hauntingly beautiful and the dissonant chaotic language perfectly reflects the insanity of the situations and characters.

Air of course if I am feeling especially chill. Gorillaz of course because a dance remix of one of their songs ends up on my decks pretty regularly. I love the Twilight Zone! But only the old ones, the new ones are stupid.

I saw this old one where the people who worked in a department store turned into manequins at night. Totally freaked me out.

Some of the old ones are really creepy. I saw this really awesome one with social commentary, too, where they're going to hang this guy... and on the morning of the execution, there's no light at all. And it ties in darkness to hate and everything. It gave me chills.

I just put this in my mypsace recently, actually, after getting the 2352135235th sex offer. :D I'll copy/paste.

what i'm looking for in a guy: someone who is sweet, intelligent, and very kind-hearted. i want someone who can handle my sometimes uberemotional states. my perfect 'type' (insofar as i have one) would probably be a relatively short, skinny, pale to moderately-tanned, dark and shaggy-haired white male. of course, you don't need to totally 'fit the bill' in order to be attractive to me... and even then, it's the personality that matters most. i really like guys who have an innocent personality, who are kids at heart. still, you need to be able to be serious when the situation calls for it. also, along with the innocent personality, i prefer more innocent guys in general. i'm not really attracted to people who have done a lot of sleeping around, or make a hobby of it. if it's in your past, then that's fine... but if it's something that you actively seek, i wouldn't be interested. i won't lie, even having the best personality in the world is not enough, two people have to be attracted to each other for a relationship to work (you don't need to be a major hottie - i certainly am not). someone in the 25-35 age range would probably be ideal, but again this doesn't apply to everyone.
