yeah and then she has something to pack out a bit later... and not everything the same day :p
This afternoon I got time, so I went shopping then... I know she doesn't expect me to give her something really romantic like a ring or so, so yeah, I bought some chocolates (her favorite ones) with nice boxes for presents. (She always said she wanted that kind of small boxes..) If I send them this week, (maybe tomorrow), it will arrive before Christmas. :)

Well, not all the purple part is Tokyo, Tokyo itself is the purple part between the first and 2nd rivers from the left side... But, of course Tokyo and its surrounding region is also crowded... A bit south of Tokyo is Yokohama where Nocko is living, you can see it in the satelite picture, too.

that's good to hear that Switzerland and Netherland won't be in the same group :)

that's the newspaper... here they also said something about the teams they would like to have... not the footballer itself but the fans...
I saw in Sport Panorama, that they think the best group for Switzerland is Sweden, Australia, and Togo... but Sweden won't be in the same group as Switzerland, either... And of course the Swiss team will be in one of the seeded countries..

Oh I just had to laugh. I had lunch with two colleagues (they're teachers where I work) and the guy entered the restaurant to have his lunch. And one of the teachers (A) had to ask him something. So the guy came to our table and talked for about 5 minutes. So the other teacher (B)said "wow it's the first time I hear him talking so much" so A said "well Yvo has a good influence on him" and B replied with "yes I heard that yesterday". I did get such red head :o and I said something like "no not you as well" but the rest of the lunchbreak they talked about the guy, that even his mother had called to school and said she had noticed some difference in the guy lately  so A and B both said "you're doing your placement really well" I had to laugh, but also was quite glad when they finally changed subject :p
Wow! a surprise for me was that his mother called them and said he had changed lately! It must be because of you, huh?

That is the only good thing, I hate the one who made the groups, I really don't understand anything of it at all. You know, Holland is in the 3rd group... the third group  why are we ranked 2nd of the world, and are in the third group?! I don't understand anything of it at all. But why are we in this group, coz we are only a small country! So it's like that, that if you are a big country, no matter how you play, you are in a better group! :fiery: I really can get mad when I hear such things.
Sorry for Yvo that it became like that.. I was quite surprised that Holland wasn't seeded, but Mexico or Spain (Spain even had to go to playoffs)... I know Germany is the host, but Germany is currently ranked below Japan...

yeah it isn't fair because like that you'll get tougher opponents... so you should be in group 1 or at least 2.....
Other than the first group (1st seeds), they are not seeds anymore... They didn't want that the countries from the same continent are in the same group... That's why group three has all European countries. (Why should Switzerland and Holland be in the same category, only looking at the ranking or strength of the teams?)

I could understand what they said, but not everything... Yvo said something at the end, but I couldn't understand that well... I said, "Hebben jullie een goed Dag van Sinterklaas gehad?" But, it was grammartically wrong?

No, goalgetter is not my place. I prefer some position where you can help everybody, a bit free. Like the traditional number "10" which ajax used to play with. Like Jari Litmanen, tho maybe a bit more further to the midfield... he still made a lot of goals

Cristian Chivu! A :hearts: for him and a :hearts: for the goal. It was a beautiful one. I think it was not exactly what he wanted to do, he was still quite far from the goal, think wanted to give an assist (is this the good word?) but the ball fell in the furthest corner of the goal, really nice :) and the reporter said "great goal of ...." dunno who anymore and the first thing I said was "that wasn't this other player he didn't touch the ball anymore, it's cristians goal!" and I was right when they showed it again. He was soooo happy with it, he later said in an interview "I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes" that was sooo cute, as he is cute :hearts:
My dad would really understand me, he wouldn't like it as well! But sadly we often missed the tour de france coz we were away during that period :(

okay then you're No. 10 :) :yeah: Yvo Fonk :D

sounds like a nice goal indeed... sometimes it's the best if you don't wanna shoot and then it lands in the net... that's great we had such great goals in the Thun matches... they were wonderful to watch over and over again :)
.. sadly I don't have such a dad....

Yeah, but it is sometimes hard for me to choose what I want to take among several menus, because I like most of them... so, I usually take the best looking one, and what I feel like to eating on that day. :) But, I don't go there not that often, because it is up on the hill, and my school also has two lunch menus (with or without meat) for 5.90 or 6.90...

yeah had this problem aswell when I was in school...somedays there were several good things...and then on an other day nothing really interested me :) but it is still great to choose from such different menus... so you should always find something :)

(She always said she wanted that kind of small boxes..) If I send them this week, (maybe tomorrow), it will arrive before Christmas. :)

then you should have bought her a ring if she doesn't expect it :)
but chocolate is always good for women :) and she misses Swiss chocolate for sure... so she will be happy to get them I think!!

no time to read back now, will do that later this afternoon. But I can post my evening report now. Actually the evening was different as I had planned (not going out coz I had no money, wanted to go to sleep early and wanted to watch soccer). OK I didn't go out, when Teresa arrived at the flat building she asked me several times if I would come with her, but I really didn't want to go. So we first did do a lil shopping before she did go to her room to make herself ready to go out and I stayed in the common room watching tv. Not too much later the guy joined me. We first sat on two different couches, but when the programm was over and I was changing channel he did come to sit on "our" couch where I was sitting already. So already early in the evening I was laying against him, lots of students were making comments about that again. But we watched a movie together (first thing that did go wrong of my planning) as he didn't want to watch soccer and I could miss the match as it was like a friendly match (they both had qualified anyway). After the movie was finished I changed to the channel with ajax and I could watch the last minutes after which we did watch the thun summary. Then Ste knows what was happening as we started to send messages to each other. That was rather funny as the guy was reading the messages we wrote about him. And Ste made him giving me a hug, what he was kinda doing anyway as he had his arm around me all the time. After all we didn't go to bed till after midnight, as the guy was sleeping on the couch already and I first didn't want to wake him up. But as I couldn't fall asleep (he was holding my hand which started hurting coz I couldn't move it anymore :p) I had to wake him up to tell him I wanted to go to sleep. So we did go to bed (each our own room of course). But it was a great evening again. Tho I didn't go to sleep early nor watched the soccer I had planned :p) hopefully I will be able to follow the planning I got for tonight. (watching a movie: cast away)

It was a really funny thing you wrote indeed, and it's kinda true. As we are always sitting on the same couch. I will soon take some pics of the flatbuilding and the common room and so, then I can show you which couch I uhm I mean we are always sitting on. (we used to sit on each an own couch in the beginning. But they've taken away my couch, and replaced it with one which doesn't sit good at all. I am still mad they did do "my" couch away :fiery: So the only good couch left is the one he was always sitting on, so that's why we always sit on the same one now :p)

I am still mad they did do "my" couch away :fiery: So the only good couch left is the one he was always sitting on, so that's why we always sit on the same one now :p)

so the green one isn't there anymore?????? or is that already the new one you're always on now??

 I had to post it, as it's of course not really nice for you that we're so looking forward to it! Yes soon I'll have met all of you, everybody from this thread! (well I only see the four of us as the real posters in this thread) It's great to know each other from irl not just from the board.

That would be like the best b'day present you could give me! I would love it to have you here!

I think we did a bit the same in September and before about Chiudi and Geneva... so now I know how it is when you just can read it but know that you won't be there or won't do the things the others are writing about and which sounds that great!
but as you're all that nice I don't mind you will have fun! I am happy for all of you!

yeah would be a great present... but have to say that it won't be like that... not that you now think the postman/woman will bring you such a huge thing... and I will come out then... even if I'd love to do so!

Yeah I can believe they're nice... but I think they were still in a position from where a goal is like possible, in front of the goal a bit outside the 16 or something?

I would love to see my chivu-goal again, didn't see it since that championship in 2000 :p but it was from a strange position and it did go totally over the keeper in a corner you don't expect the ball to fall in. :hearts: *dreams* ok yvo shut up about this goal now!

nope surely not... but I am sure he will made the best one... one he really can stand behind...
If he plays, it is good for the team, if he doesn't, it is good for Roger for his personal goal. And, without him, The Swiss team should have still a chance to beat Australia on Clay, because we got Stan and still Yves. The others can also play well against Australia, too!!

but chocolate is always good for women :) and she misses Swiss chocolate for sure... so she will be happy to get them I think!!
I have actually sent her a ring from America for our first Christmas.. She was really happy with that, and then knew for sure that I loved her so much... So, it was a good present. :) But, it was a bit too big for her finger, but she still wears it. It is difficult to know her size, you know...

A general question.... How does a man know how thick the ring finger of a woman who he wants to propose without asking her how big it is?

no time to read back now, will do that later this afternoon.
Ste was also communicating with him!?

Well I did send Ste a message to congrats her with FC Thun and then we did message a bit and we talked about the guy. And he could read the messages. So she asked me to say hi to him, but then she wrote like that she could say it herself (as he was reading the messages anyway) so she asked him to give me a hug :)
Wow, so steffi and he also know each other, sort of!!

It is difficult to come here during the day, but now I know when you are usually here. :)
