I am actually quite happy with S&M because this means the tie is held in Switzerland. That means I have a great chance to go there one day. Well, S&M was one of the few opponents again which we could play in Switzerland.

good luck vs Czechs! :o
yeah, I can understand then that you're glad with them.. then i'm happy for you ;)

nah, I probably even don't mind to lose against the Czechs, as I like them..

I actually thought it was Steffi's fault, but it was actually my fault that the title has a wrong word.. I didn't notice that till I saw my own quote in this Nienke's post... I did write "replaying" in that post, and apparently Steffi copied it and pasted it... :o

I am sorry, ste!!!

ah, and that is also your fault! shame on you! :p

I wrote in the Swiss Davis Cup thread, but I can go to as far as Bern/Basel/St.Gallen/Luzern, but not further, because I have to go back to Zurich on the same day. Hopefully Zurigo!!

for me it doesn't matter that much but sure I'd prefer something like Zürich or Bern or Basel.... because that is much closer to me than Geneva... and there it was twice now so please somewhere else...

but as long as we don't know on which surface it is we also don't know where it will be...

Zurich is a good place to have a date. If he can come, you guys can spend Saturday going shopping, movies, drinking,,, disco,, concert/opera,,, etc... ;)

:) there you're right... but we now agreed that I will go back to Lucerne after the GV and he will come and get me there... so I don't have to come to you so you won't have to tidy up your rooms :p :)...

will you come back to Zürich HB with me then... or is there something more direct to your home from Regensdorf? just that I know if I am alone or if you'll join me till the mainstation...

thanks again that you wanted to invite me that's really nice of you - but when I only have to go in the train in Zürich and can go out in Lucerne where he is waiting I think that should be okay for me... if I don't have to change the train just can stay in till Lucerne

travelling is really great as you can learn much of it....but when you don't have the money how should go on holidays then...that's really a pity in my opinion
I have now abo for city of Zurich and Halbtax... So, I can travel around with half price, but it is still expensive... Yes, I usually stay in the city... When I have to go somewhere else, sometimes those groups, for which I am traveling, pay for my travelling fee. I really have to think of how to travel cheaply. But, sometimes I miss GA...

Well, Zurich Hallenstadion can have any kind of surface. You know, they have ice for ice hockey matches/Art on Ice, indoor tennis for Zurich Open, Sand for horseback riding, etc... So, if it is held in Zurich, the choice of surface doesn't matter... I don't know about Bern Basel, though...

Yes, I had a nice time with the whole family of Fabienne at her house in Ermatingen TG. Every year we search this Easter basket with full of chocolate and sweets in the garden, but due to the bad weather, we couldn't do that this time.. :( We had fine breakfast and lunch, and some relaxing time with them. oh sounds really nice - what a pity that the weather was that shitty then..:(

yeah I had a great time with him... every weekend should have 4 days :p
On Thursday evening his brother had his b'day party so we were there aswell enjoying a bit the time with others then on Friday we really enjoyed the warm sunshine outside and in the evening we went to the cinema to watch Ice Age - what a funny movie
on Saturday we went cycling with 2 of his friends we did a huge tour by bike...about 70 or 80 kilometers at the end I was really dead :p and happy to be back ... we started at half past 8 and were back at 21.00 :)... sadly it began to rain at lunchtime or a bit later so we decided to wait a bit and first we went to a restaurant and then we went to the cinema as it didn't wanted to stop raining.. sadly the only movie which came was Asterix a real children movie... but still a bit funny... just a bit expensive for what it was... but luckily after the movie it wasn't raining anymore so we went again some kilometers by bike to the next city where there was aswell a railway station where we wanted to take the train till a close city of Beromünster as the train didn't come as we arrived we again went to a restaurant to wait and when we left the restaurant to go to the station it rained again ... we took the train and then the last kilometers we had to go back by bike till home... sadly it mostly went up the hill... and after soo much biking I was so dead that I coudn't really feel my feet and legs anymore and at the end I had to go by feet some meters the last part of the "rising" part of the hill :(.. but then finally we were up there and could drive down the last kilometer and we were finally back home... totally wet as it was still raining and also very tired and especially our ass hurted quite heavily after this long day but all in all it was funny indeed :)
then when we came home his mother baked us some toast hawaii not only us but also the others ate them for sure but this warm toast was really great after this day :) then we soon went to bed and on Sunday we slept till lunch and then in the afternoon it was sadly not nice outside so we went to a moviebox where you can boroow DVD's and videos and we borrowed "Starsky and Hutch" was a funny movie but as we wanted to watch "Mission Impossible 2" we weren't that happy that this movie was only available in video and they don't have video only dvd.... so we were a bit sad about this...
then in the evening we went to one of the colleague which went biking with us on Saturday and the other one joined us aswell and we watched a movie together but really a strange and not worth at all movie... was happy when we could go back home again as I nearly fell asleep on the sofa there :p...
and on Monday the weather was better again and so we decided to go Minigolfing in the afternoon sadly there were sooo many people that we had to wait after every "Bahn" so it was a bit "long" till we could finish those 18 single tracks.... then I sadly had to go home already again... it was great these Easter time and I am looking forward to this weekend already... just hope that this GV won't take too long as it wouldn't be that fair if I will come back that late to Lucerne so that he has to stay up that long....

okay thanks very much I know where it is then will find it for sure... okay will arrive in Zürich at 19.00.. will you be waiting already or do I have to wait of you???

I asked Karin today how long the GV will take and she told me that she thinks about 1,5 or 2 hours... it would be wonderful if I could take the 22.11 S-Bahn.... hopefully it will work... :p
I will be there at 19.00. :) Yes, hopefully it doesn't take that long! There must be people who have to travel far back home.

I think we should be able to catch the 22.41 train,, the GV shouldn't take that long,,, I don't think there will be really a hard discussion just like in a Bundeshaus... :p

Just make sure that he knows when those possible trains from Zurich arrive in Luzern. You can always write him SMS and let him know when you are coming, so he can maybe leave home knowing what time you arrive, or he can kill some time somewhere??

There is a thread about the problem in the reporting forum, and someone said, there was somekind of a breakdown in the system... Well, I don't know much stuff about computers, internet, and website and those stuff, so I don't know what that means, but glad it came back normally. :)

Can't say for sure, but very likely.. You know, Djokovic played a good match the other day against Roger, and it was kinda close match... So, if Roger doesn't have any breakdown or so, it is very likely that he wins. :) And, I guess his doubles is also going great this week with Yves. Hopefully that's the sign that he might play with him in September???

sure no one can say this... but he is the one who can win the easiest as his ranking is that high .... would be nice if they could play double together again... they are a great team :)

Hi all sorry when I'm not vispering to you ;)

It was great to meet you SP - so sorry I didn't have more time to talk with you and ste - but I still had to sort out a few things regarding Sierre (Ticket sale - stand and so on) and time just went by sooooo fast. I really hope next time we meet - whenever that is we (better I ) will have a bit more time to speak to you and to Ste!! It's a real shame that you two aren't able to make it to Sierre next weekend :( :( :(

As for the GV as far as I understand it there's only going to be 1 GV a year. And the Vorstand is having several meetings a year - hmmm maybe one should bring the input that the fans want more than just one gathering like that. I mean why not one GV and maybe two or tree just ordinary meetings were everybody can bring in its ideas, feelings etc for and about the fanclub. Well we'll see how it's going to turn out.

Now all the focus has to go towards Roger so he'll finaly beat Rafa again ;)

Hope to meet you guy soon again.

It was really my pleasure to get to know you in the real life as well. :) I know you are a busy person regarding with the fanclub and the events. You are a busy but also an important person, and a great fan of Roger. ;) (I want the jacket you were wearing on the evening as well. :) ) If DC in September is to be held within my traveling range, I (and ste) will be there on Friday, then hopefully we have more time to talk. :) I wish you all loads of fun in Sierre on Friday! :D

The senior lady at the GV is right. the Vorstand members have been doing great works. We have to be thankful for that. :)

Yeap that's true the Vorstand does a great job (well most of the time ooopppssss Doris you better keep your mouth shut!!!) - even though I was a bit disapointed that there are no t-shirts around yet! Just imagine what a picture that would be we all dressed up in fans4roger T-shirts at an event such like the one in Sierre that just would be awsome and I really feel sorry that we miss such a great chance to show it and to pormote the fansclub. I understand there's a lot of things behind still I feel a t-shirt after such a long time there's been the talk of the fan club is a must....

...you can get the jacket over www.mytennis.ch/daviscup when you are a member of swiss tennis or then in September at DC (that's where I got it from.)

RogiNie

Is Martin Verkerk playing for DC? Anyway, The Swiss Fec Cup team is really young, but they are not good at all, the best is No.230 and the rest is around 300... Brother of my SH used to play tennis and wanted to become pro, and he knows one of the Fec Cup members in person, I think... I don't think Switzerland would win against Japan this weekend...

don't know if Martin is playing DC, he's still not back on the tour and I don't know when he comes back..
well, the Netherlands didn't win either in the Fed Cup, although they should have won the poule where they were in (Finland, Slovakia and Luxembourg, they lost against Slovakia)..

But, knowing Dutch would help learn most of European languages,,, I guess that's why Dutch people are so talented in learning languages..

I don't agree with you on that.. it's not that we are talented in learning languages, it's just that we have to speak other languages, because in other countries noone understands dutch (except of course Belgium). Also the Netherlands is a traditional trading country, and that's why I think it's traditional to learn languages to speak with the foreigners to trade things. I don't think we are more talented in learning languages than in any other country.

don't know if Martin is playing DC, he's still not back on the tour and I don't know when he comes back..
well, the Netherlands didn't win either in the Fed Cup, although they should have won the poule where they were in (Finland, Slovakia and Luxembourg, they lost against Slovakia)..
He was in the entry list of Barcelona, but he withdrew. He is also in the entry list of Munich next week, so,, a sign of come back soon? Did Kraijcek play? Switzerland didn't win the tie, but those young girls (ranked 230 till not ranked) played all full set matches (one of them a win! :D ) in singles against Japan whose players are all ranked in the top 100. Switzerland's loss was expected, but we showed really a good fight.. (we? am I already a part of Switzerland not anymore with Japan? :p ) I hope they can make some big noise in the future in WTA.. :)

Good luck to the Dutch team as well!!

True, and I agree with you on this, but I think Dutch, which is similar to other Latin languages such as English and German, being the mother language should be a factor as well.. I don't say Dutch people are talented in learning non European languages, let's say Chinese or Japanese, that is I think the same difficult as other European people like English speakers or French speakers. I think it is the combination of this and what you insist on.
