I liked them all! They're all easy to follow if you're really into it

Alcohol in general is so overrated!

Which one is your favorite? :)

So is!

If I had to pick one probably "Revenge of the Sith" though "The Empire strikes back" was really good too.

Everyone was locked into the Sophia Centre, no way out! All exits were sealed off.

Sounds so funny but I could swear it wasn't!

I love beer! I drink Coors Light when I'm out but I'm not a huge drinker so ... Yeah I don't know why I didn't make it official before now Maria  I absolutely hate injections. My Mom has to hold me down when I get injections

Well, in times like those you just have to think that you'd rather get the injection than the cancer even if people thought it was injected into the cervix

its vaccination against the virus that gives cervical cancer :p
therefore, you could still get it if it is in your genetic makeup to do so ;)

Venle

I'm not sure. Last time I got one 3 years ago but I don't remember what it was for. :p

Sorry guys. We paid a visit to my sister and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye

That's okay, your sister with the baby?

Eimear O'Mahony
03-24-2009, 04:05 PM
Yup, yup. My Mam was going to see him so I went with her. He was fast asleep though so we didn't get to hold him or anything but I was just hanging with my other two nephews. My little baby really isn't taking well at ALL to being the middle child. The baby's gone REALLY cute though. He's gotten a little bigger since I saw him last

Masha91
03-24-2009, 04:07 PM
You can still see the cutie sleeping peacefully though

Yes, that often happens when a new baby comes along, he'll be okay.

Venle
03-24-2009, 04:08 PM
Eimear, Finland is two hours ahead. It's kinda funny

Ireland has the GMT time I assume? :)

Maria, you should get some sleep. :p

Nah, I should go now, anyway. See you

Masha91
03-24-2009, 04:08 PM
Bye! I don't have classes till 2 p.m., I'll go to bed soon.

:wavey:

Eimear O'Mahony
03-24-2009, 04:11 PM
Yeah the midwife was up with my sister today and my sister asked her about the middle nephew and she said it was natural for kids to react like that to going from being the baby to not being the baby. He was so cute all snuggled up in his pram. I was like AWWW!!! Goodbye Venla!!! :wavey:

Masha91
03-24-2009, 04:13 PM

Aww that sounds incredibly cute. Although when my daddy was born his sister liked it because she didn't like being treated as a child, she was like "stop pinching my cheeks, I'm eight years old, I'm not a baby!" so she was glad when the new baby came along.

Eimear O'Mahony
03-24-2009, 04:17 PM
Well the 7-year old is in his element. He absolutely loves him  It's just the 5-year old who's having problems adjusting. He's very close to my sister though and was always 'her baby' and now he's not anymore. I'm trying to spend as much time with him as I can just to show him that I haven't forgotten about him just because the new baby is here

Masha91
03-24-2009, 04:19 PM
Yeah, that does sound very typical. He'll be fine once he realises that he's still receiving the same amount of love and attention he got before the baby was born. Then maybe he'll be able to embrace being a big brother! Maybe, you guys could involve him when you're interacting with the baby, you could get him to do some simple tasks that would help that way he gets attention and starts to come into his new role.

Eimear O'Mahony
03-24-2009, 04:22 PM
Yeah my sister is doing that. She said she was giving the baby a bottle this morning and my nephew was awake for some reason so she let him come into the bed with her while she was giving the baby his bottle and he was rubbing his face and his tummy so she's hoping little things like that will help him slowly but surely settle down. He'll be fine I know he will. It's just hard on my sister 'cause he's playing up on her a little and she doesn't have the energy to give out to him. In fairness she only gave birth on Friday. By rights, she should still be in hospital

Masha91
03-24-2009, 04:22 PM
She still should be, is there a reason she isn't here they're cutting back the amount of time a woman spends in hospital after giving birth.

Masha91

Eimear O'Mahony
03-24-2009, 04:26 PM
She went under a scheme we have here called the Domino scheme. Basically it means if women don't want to stay in hospital after they give birth they can go home 4 hours after the birth (once mother and baby have both been checked out) and then midwives call up to them every day for a week or so just to see how things are going with the baby and stuff. I think she felt, look I already have two kids, I don't need to be in hospital plus its free so more and more women are opting for that scheme. My sister's used it, my sister in law has used it and so has one of my friends

Eimear O'Mahony

Morning everyone :wavey: Tori, just saw that article now. It's VERY funny and VERY tongue in cheek. I liked it  How are we all this morning anyway?

Davodus
03-25-2009, 09:55 AM
hey eimear
i didnt have to do that stupid running
but i did have to do a bike test despite my interjections about my leg
and i ended up doing it 2 mins more than i needed

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 10:04 AM
Morning Dave. Thank God you didn't have to do the running. How did you manage to get out of it? That really sucks that you had to do the bike though. You must be in a lot of pain after it?

Davodus
03-25-2009, 10:07 AM
i wasn't in much pain, but i dont think my calf will be happy with me tomorrow, i think its too soon after the surgery to be doing bike for 10 mins with a resistance to make it harder
i was saying LOOK AT MY SCAR trying to make them say i didnt have to do it, but the stupid surgeon did such a good job the scar is almost non-existant

i didnt have to do the run because there was only time for 1 person to do it  and it wasnt me

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 10:11 AM
Do you not have a note from your Doctor or something saying you can't do bike exercises? That doesn't sound good and like you're going to be in pain tomorrow  You poor thing  Wasn't that a stroke of luck? Usually, with my luck, I'd have been the person chosen to do it

Davodus
03-25-2009, 10:19 AM
 i didnt have a medical certificate with me! oh well

actually they asked for a volunteer, and one guy wasnt really listening and volunteered, but he thought he just had to go first, but actually he was the only person to go  suckerrrr

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 10:22 AM
Oh God  The poor guy innocently thinking he was just going first and having to be the only one to do the exercise! I'd say everyone got a laugh off of that and the poor guy felt so stupid! Well let that be a lesson to you, next time carry a medical certificate with you! Trust me, your knees will thank you!

Davodus
03-25-2009, 10:36 AM
i had a good laugh about it, especially because since his finger was being pricked every time over and over, he had to wear a mini condom on his finger to hold the blood in

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 10:42 AM
Oh my GOD!!! :haha: A mini condom??? Oh the poor guy!!! He'll never live it down will he??? So will you have to do it next week or did they only want one person to do it

Masha91
03-25-2009, 10:45 AM
Hi everyone :wavey:

Hey Luke!

03-25-2009, 10:49 AM

Eimear O'Mahony

Hello Luke! :wavey: That's good Maria. Hopefully you'll be ready to take the next step soon. It'll all come with practise :)

Davodus
03-25-2009, 10:51 AM
hey luke and maria :wavey:

yeah eimear a mini condom  there was a whole box of them
and the guy said "safety first" when he put it on
funny

and no i dont have to go it ever ;) next week i think we are doing body fat testing with skin fold tests

Masha91
03-25-2009, 10:51 AM
Hello Luke! :wavey: That's good Maria. Hopefully you'll be ready to take the next step soon. It'll all come with practise :)

I think I'm just a tad too cautious

Masha91
03-25-2009, 10:52 AM
Hi Dave!

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 10:57 AM
But see ... I don't get the concept of mini-condoms ... I mean surely there's no such thing as a mini-dick :haha: Oh that's too funny. I don't know what body fat and skin fold tests are but something tells me they're not exactly pleasant! Maria, it's good to be cautious! Give it time and you'll start to increase in confidence. I think driving out in traffic would help your confidence a LOT because it'll make your judgement better. Maybe you should go out in traffic even for like 30 minutes twice a week or something? Just to push you along that little bit further

Masha91
03-25-2009, 10:59 AM
I have driven out in traffic before but I'm always very cautious while driving.

Masha91
03-25-2009, 10:59 AM
Speaking of things like that, E.

At the refec today there was this sign saying "I'm free, take me" above a bunch of UQ union tote bags so I did and in between my stats lecture and tute my friends and I were going over the contents of the bag which included an ikea brochure, magazine subscription form and a folder. It also had something else that none of us could identify so we were looking at the unidentified object for ages until I decided to turn around and read that the label identified it as a condom! None of us had ever seen one before so we were all just looking at it and turning it upside down trying to figure out what it was and then we did and all got so freaked out!

I tried to get rid of it by giving it to one of my friends but they need it just about as much as I do so needless to say I still have a condom in my bag that no one will take! Maybe I should sell it or something...

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 11:03 AM
Well cautious is good ... in all senses of the word ;) Oh that is a funny story Maria  It is weird seeing a condom for the first time. I'll never forget seeing my first condom. You really just don't know how to react and your face just goes red and you giggle like a schoolgirl ... well at least I did anyway! Maybe you should give it to Dave ;) ... Just in case he needs to prick his finger or anything :p

Masha91
03-25-2009, 11:05 AM

I sufficiently freaked my friends out! Well, he can have it. I can't find anyone who will take it.

Davodus
03-25-2009, 11:07 AM
well the mini condoms were so funny  they were tiny :haha:
but i think they were made for exercise testing, not for tiny penises :haha:
havent you seen a condom before maria? didn't you ever do sex ed? in year 10 we had to roll them over fake penises

orangehat
03-25-2009, 11:10 AM
urgh maria that must have been so embarassing! :o

Anyways i'm off to dinner, see ya guys later!

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 11:10 AM
I think that's more of a boys thing in fairness because its usually the boy who puts the condom on. We never did that in sex ed. I only saw a condom for the first time when I was 18 so I can relate totally to Maria  So Dave, you've got the offer of a free condom from Maria ... do you accept it or not? :p

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 11:11 AM
See you later Luke :wavey:

Flavoured condoms ... any nice flavours there Dave? I prefer chocolate myself  We did sex-ed (and actually can I just point out how IRONIC it is having a NUN teach sex-ed??? :haha:) but we never got to put condoms on bananas or anything like that!

Masha91
03-25-2009, 11:19 AM

Davodus
03-25-2009, 11:24 AM

and maria i got them this year, they get me something suss every year since i turned 16

Masha91
03-25-2009, 11:26 AM
Oh, I see. When I turned 16 my friends got me a trunk with a Hogwarts crest on it and filled it up with HP stuff for my HP dress up party. They even wrote me a Hogwarts letter bought me the spell books on the book list and made potions, etc.

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 11:26 AM
Okay ... do I even want to KNOW why they're not all in the one box and WHY the box has even been opened Dave??? I mean, surely a young innocent boy like you wouldn't be having sex now would he??? :p

Masha91
03-25-2009, 11:28 AM
I certainly hope not

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 11:33 AM

Craig Olejnik looks like Nole? I haven't seen a pic so I'm going to go and google him now

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:08 PM
I can see a SLIGHT resemblance

Masha91

Masha91

I might have to watch this show, and now you're saying "Nole" instead of "Djokovic"!

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:15 PM
He has breathing problems as you know. I bet you didn't know that he dressed up as Santa and visited sick children in the hospital with similar problems to his over Christmas ;)

Nole has this sweet side that some people can't see!

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:15 PM
I definitely see a SLIGHT resemblance from the pics. I wouldn't think they're the IMAGE of each other or anything but I can see why people would think there's a resemblance

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:16 PM
Like Gillou and Edward Cullen?

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:16 PM
If he has breathing problems he should have considered an alternative career or take an inhaler before, during and after matches. That's what Paul Scholes, the Man United player, did

orangehat
03-25-2009, 12:17 PM
I though volandri had breathing difficulties too? don't think he retires as much as nole though, though that indeed is a good gesture from nole! :d

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:18 PM
Oh there's DEFINITELY a resemblance between Gillou and Edward yeah

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:18 PM

He has had operations but even they can't fix everything. He loves playing tennis and the joy that his success (I know there hasn't been much of late) but his AO win in 08 certainly brought some joy to Serbia and that country definitely deserves to have some happiness after all the hardships.

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:19 PM

I think so too, my friend Amelia, thought Federer looked like Edward and I'm like "No way!"

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:29 PM
No Fed definitely DOESN'T look like Edward but Gilles does :D Surely he can use an inhaler though? But I'm sure he does but, as you said, it can't cure everything. You're right. Serbia DOES deserve a little happiness and I do like Nole so I'm not being critical I'm just saying ...

I know you're not, sorry, I can be a little defensive when it comes to him.

I'm not sure why he doesn't use one although sometimes they can get you into a bit of trouble, Volandri was banned for three months once because his inhaler contained some sort of stimulant.

It was the tenth anniversary of the NATO bombings yesterday, it's really sad. I have a friend who lives in Canada she had to leave Serbia because of the war she'd love to go back but she doesn't see the war ending.

I know, I'm like "Amelia, don't ruin Edward Cullen for me". I really do not like Federer.

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:38 PM
see you Luke! :wavey: I can't believe you get banned for using inhalers!!! If you've got asthma or breathing problems and that's the only way to control it (and you've got medical evidence to say you need your inhaler) it is STUPID to say you can be banned for using an inhaler. Yeah, what happened with Serbia was so sad and I think that's one of the main reasons I love all the Serbian players because I really respect what they had to go through to get where they are today

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:39 PM

I don't think it's all inhalers, it was just that there was a particular stimulant in that one, you just have to be careful I guess.

The Serbian players have been through so much, Serbia has been through so much, they still are.

Masha91

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:41 PM
Or Murray hate :p

Yeah I suppose you do have to be careful ... its crazy though. Something as simple as inhalers can get you into trouble. Yeah I really do feel sorry for Serbia and Serbians. Its just not fair what goes on there

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:46 PM
It really is crazy.

Poor Serbia, Nole lent his suppport at the Kosova is Serbia rally.

Yeah, I think Murray and Federer are the same for me in terms of dislike.

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 12:49 PM
I don't think Nole should be publicly supporting Kosovo is Serbia though. It would be a huge controversy over here if one of our sports stars started publicly supporting the IRA or something like that. It should be done more privately than publicly. I know I wouldn't like to think of Roy Keane, for example, coming out and publicly supporting the IRA. To me, Kosovo and Serbia is kind of like the situation in Northern Ireland so I can relate to it a little bit

Masha91
03-25-2009, 12:53 PM
Yeah well you know how patriotic he can be. He doesn't mean to cause any harm as controversial as the situation may be.

Kosovo is Serbia and it always will be. It's part of the constitution.

Davodus
03-25-2009, 12:58 PM
whether or not it's part of the constitution, it is a very contentious issue, and I don't think players really should be getting too into the political side of things. I mean, the serbia kosovo issue is quite controversial
I didn't know he had been saying any of that though, quite interesting.

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 01:06 PM
Its a lot more complicated than that though Maria and I guess I can relate to it because of the situation between Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain. To some people Kosovo is Serbia, to others its something else ... you have to learn to respect all opinions. Its like I respect people who say Northern Ireland should belong to the Republic and yet I respect people who say it should stay within the UK. Its things like that that make me see why Nole's losing his popularity a bit

Masha91
03-25-2009, 01:11 PM
Yes, I do realise it's more complicated than that, I've read through the history (it's not the same as being involved I realise)and I do respect that some people don't agree but that's just my stance.

Personally, I think the retiring has a greater impact on his popularity but that's just a guess.

Davodus
03-25-2009, 01:11 PM
yeah i agree eimear, and i'm sure it is a touchy subject to some who could be quite offended with what he said

i have a problem in general with celebrities publicly siding in one way in a political issue, like the american election when all the movie and tv celebrities picked someone to go onside with

Eimear O'Mahony
03-25-2009, 01:14 PM
Yeah exactly. I've experienced at first hand what can happen and I don't support either side. I think the Republicans are a disgrace to Ireland and I'm ashamed to be associated with them. What Nole doesn't realise that Kosovo is Serbia people are equally as much to blame as the other side and probably cause death and destruction too. I'm shocked to hear Nole supports Republicanism and I really don't like him anymore because I've seen first hand the death and destruction republicans cause. I mean, I've spent time with people whose lives have been torn apart because of the IRA and I know people who've been killed in bombs. Its just a VERY touchy subject for me and something I have strong opinions on
