I don't understand how can someone have such a great career being such a CHOKER ?
Davydenko i'm speechless you're doing it time after time after time after time and it ain't stopping ?

davy:sad: really thought he would turn it around

i really dont think he'll be around much longer. He doesnt seem like the kind of guy who's content to linger around like this. He probably played this season hoping to get back up the rankings but he's stayed in pretty much the same place the whole time.

Tsonga was able to make Davydenko's serve look like a real weapon

Being bageled by Tsonga. :o

Still good week for Kolya, he has a row of stable results right now. TOP-30 is possible if he continues to play like last few tournaments.

A player who has 6-5 in H2H with Rafa can`t be a choker.

This vulturing thing is the dumbest shit I've ever seen on MTF

And that says a lot

Tsonga bagelling someone

It got tough after the first set, but a win is a win. Come on Jo, win the title tomorrow and then tear up the indoor season.

He isn't a choker against him  i can't stand the fact
i can remember of at least 20 loses now which are choked ... if he wasn't such a TREMENDOUS choker he would've been 550-194 not 450-294 ...

Good win for Tsonga, sadly Davydenko was lucky to win set at least he is not anymore in the same league with guys like Tsonga. But hope Davy will take positives from this week and will do some damage at next tournaments, definitely at best of 3 format he can play his best tennis for 2 sets and can win in straight sets vs some top guys, hop he will beat someone really good in next few weeks.

After the 2nd set, I thought that it was over for Jo. But a win is a win...

Davydenko wouldn't even be in a position to choke had not Tsonga choke in the first place.

Also, Tsonga missed a similar shot 2 points before that BP.

One single week in the year, Tsonga can have the illusion of being the king of tennis.

Close lose doesn`t mean choke. Someone anyway must lose. Kolya had a lot of close wins too. :)

Not the most comfortable, but a wins a win. I know it's a small tournament, but hopefully Jo can gain some confidence from this, go on a good run and confirm a place in the WTF

Great result for the sport. Hope Baldenko sticks around so he can have many many bagels, humiliating losses and further drop in rankings

Looks like Davydenko's renaissance was short-lived  Too bad.

 Because he lost a close match to Tsonga?

If that's the case, then the whole ATP is in a dire state. JWT has beaten every current top player bar Tipsarevic (who he never faced) and the only top 10er he faced in Grand Slam level and never beat is Del Potro - beat Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray and Ferrer, never faced Berdych, Tipsarevic and Isner.

If losing a close match to Tsonga is proof that a player's renaissance was short lived, then the ATP tour as a whole must be well and truly dead.

Tsonga is pretty tough, especially when on a mission.

Mission 250.

You're trying way too hard. You have to ease yourself into it. Start out by making a complete sentence and sneaking the word vulture somewhere into the sentence instead of being broad and just saying his name with vulture in it ;)  Good repped btw ;)

As said as it sounds, this is a good result for tennis. Tsonga should indeed be vulturing and racking up points for the WTF, just for Tipsarevic to not qualify for the WTF. Davydenko isnt the same player he once was, he shouldnt be defeating a younger guy like Tsonga.

Playing home tournaments does not count as vulturing. Playing St. Petersburg would have made Tsonga a vulture.
