I'll pick the poster who supports Monfils through several thicknesses and thins :) So good to see him come back out to play for real GSMnadal 09-21-2012, 04:44 PM Wow 3 threads... I'll pick the poster who supports Monfils through several thicknesses and thins :) So good to see him come back out to play for real The match was even over for about two minutes, there just wasn't a thread yet. All of a sudden, boom, there are three  Loved the way he closed it out. Faced break point in the final game, then an ace, an unreturnable serve and a Serve&volley :hearts: Stronga23 09-21-2012, 04:46 PM The match was even over for about two minutes, there just wasn't a thread yet. All of a sudden, boom, there are three  Loved the way he closed it out. Faced break point in the final game, then an ace, an unreturnable serve and a Serve&volley :hearts: If he wins the tournament I will be in tears of joy :hearts: Just like heaven 09-21-2012, 04:48 PM Monfils showing no signs of rustiness after a long time off. Hope Rafa's return will be like this too... barbadosan 09-21-2012, 04:48 PM The match was even over for about two minutes, there just wasn't a thread yet. Good to see him fighting back, and hope to see him come in, playing closer to the baseline, and not constantly playing in the suburbs of Metz or whichever city he finds himself. Good fight in the end from Gael, I didn't think he would be able to hold physically. The Freak 09-21-2012, 06:35 PM Pretty impressive to tough out this win after the long break. Keep it up Gael! STUHL 09-21-2012, 08:03 PM Same Shot as always against monfils... Lugburz 09-21-2012, 09:42 PM 2-0 up in 3rd.. damn Kohli StatRacket 09-21-2012, 10:44 PM Monfils is so underrated indoors. He has a 70% win record. Compare that to Rafa's (Madrid indoors champion 2005) 64% and Berdych's (Paris Masters champion in 2005) 57%. Gillouthe best 09-21-2012, 11:03 PM Nice match, glad that Gael gets to SF on his 1st tournament after the break :yeah: , usuall all his matches vs Kohli follow the same pattern, as they are usually tight with Kohli choking. BroTree123 09-22-2012, 02:01 AM Oppa Gael-nam Style. http://awesomegifs.com/wp-content/uploads/psy-elevator-gangnam-style.gif Topspindoctor 09-22-2012, 02:21 AM Unexpected that this match went to 3, Mugfils must have shown up in the first set :o Mugshscreiber is barely above journeyman level in skill, mentality, technique and that girly one handed BH doesn't help matters either. If Monfils utilized his atheleticm, his ability to hammer that forehand, and acquired a champion's mindset he'd have a much better career than some of the supposedly "talented" clown slam winners of today like Mugray. | |
