Pathetic attempt by Haase but that should be no surprise to anyone aymore - at least not if you actually WATCH matches, in stead of just looking at the outcome of the SB.
De Bakker did a lot, LOT better, and so he showed again in the dead rubber against Marco Chiudinelli today, even if that was a dead rubber-exho.

I wished I could agree with you, but no.
Haase was absolutely clowning on his serve, and overcooked about every return he managed to even get in the first place.

That said - from the spectators' view, Fed gave a genuine gallery performance, so it's rather hard to judge if it was a matter of Haase f*cking up, or Fed playing really well. Pretty sure it was a matter of both of these factors happening. :)

Not really. A true GOAT isn't one that never gets thrashed or defeated. A true GOAT is the one that does get crushed and defeated, and yet:

17 Grand Slams + 296 weeks and counting. I know it hurts, but that's life I guess.

The ability to come back after failure is what makes a champion. I hope you understand this when you're older, if you don't already.

That's absolutely right, but playing more Masters doesn't warrant a player to be considered a vulture: they are mandatory, after all. On the other hand, we can ignore the Masters and concentrate on Grand Slam events (Nole 5120 points, Roger 3800 points, both played 4) and smaller events (Nole 450 points, Roger 1715 points, Nole played 2, Roger played 6). These numbers do not suggest, at least to me, that Nole is a vulture. He's the top player who has played fewer small events: only 2, in fact, Dubai and the Olympics, hardly vulture events.

I'm sure they could find other insults for Nole, more accurate...why chose this one?
