Who is more likely to win an eighth title next year?

Federer at Wimbledon or Nadal at RG?

Nadal ofcourse. In fact I have a hard time seeing a healthy Nadal losing to anyone in RG.

A 8th Wimbledon will be hardfought for Federer, Murray will be redhot and ready this time and maybe even Nadal will be competitive. Players like Tsonga and Berdych could take him out at some stage aswell.

Indeed.

If Nadal is at his "normal" level, he will probably win RG, but it won't be easy because the French will be the most important goal for Djokovic next year, and the serb won't have a billion shots in this tournament, perhaps two or three, that's it.

Federer can win Wimbly but it's unlikely, i think he has a better shot in the USO next year with the disparition of the stupid Saturday.

RG was the main goal for Nole in 2012 as well  If Nadal plays well, not even great, nobody can touch him there.

Nadal of course. Fed is probably more likely to win a slam off-Wimbledon than Rafa off-RG at the moment though.

Nadal can be at 10% and still win RG.

Nadal has a bigger chance, for sure.

But I hope they both win an 8th tournament at some point.
They're the greatests player on those surfaces. It's deserved.

Yes but he was concerned by the Olympics and he had to defend his great 2011 season, he felt rather happy to progress and to make the final in the French, but he won't be satisfied next year in such a scenario, for sure

He won't have the same pressure everywhere, but i have the feeling that the medias will be focalized in this tournament, he will probably be asked this question a billion time like Federer in the past "Do you feel you can win Roland Garros this year" The pressure can only grow up.

Notice that the French was probably his poorest slam in term of level of play this year, if he play like 2011 (tough ask but not impossible), Nadal will have to be at his best to beat him, better than he was in 2011 and at least as good as he was this year.

In this moment, and counting on a Nadal resurgence, i see it like this

Nadal 80% Djokovic 15% Federer 2% (Djokovic winning against Nadal in a 6 hours marathon and folding in the final) Murray 1% (same as Federer) Del Po 1% (in fire) Rest (1%)

I certanly would love a NAdal-Djokovic SF in RG, maybe even QF if Nadal doesnt defend his points well.

Federer can beat Djokovic on clay if it plays fast next year, even at 32. Someone like Delpo finding his way against Nadal on clay would also be interesting.

:haha: And he wont be 32 then. And he cannot beat Djokovic on clay ever more if Novak plays solid.

Stop with this bullshit, havent you been wrong too many times to keep going with this?

First RG 2011, then Wimbledon 2012 and last making fun of Murray and everyone who thought Murray was going to beat Djokovic in the final.

I owned your ass in the WWW USOPEN final and the WWW Djokovic vs Federer SF in Wimbledon already, I also made 5000 USdollars. How about some humility after beeing so wrong every time?

Rafa has a better chance but he needs to get some rhythm back, not playing from July to January is going to make him rusty, but he'll probably pick it up by clay season.

nadal

this isn't even a worthy question

however, if he mugs if up by skipping the south american clay swing, then playing shitty doubles at indian wells and miami, then he deserves all the losses he gets

Nadal for sure.

Federer in 2

Nadal, but it's not a given. If he is not back to his best or very close to it by April, I don't think he will win the title.

Nadal is basically a lock for RG if healthy. Can't really say the same thing about Fed.
