No it hasn't. Murray and Lendl are currently the co holders of the record with 4.

Yup; ask his coach/master. He will break a record and make it a sole posserer of 5 plates ??
I hope he wins but I'll give 51/49 to Novak. :-(

one record that Andy could hold for himself and he can extend it too

If he exdends it to, lets say 10 runner ups i a row, that "record" would be difficult to beat. If I was him, I would go for that record! :woohoo:

Yes, there is a thread about it somewhere. He lost his 5th final from 2-0 up; he had 1-12 in sets after first 4 like Murray

This whole 'coaching' thing is a sham set up by Lendl to get his negative record removed from the record books :o

Impressive. He got two in the end, record of 2-6 in slam finals

To be fair Emerson is perhaps the GOAT, he has 28 or 26 (cant remember) slams. (doubles and singles)

Dont think so, he won all the slams when the best players (Laver, Rosewall etc.) werent allowed to compete there. Once they were, he won nothing. Laver owned him 49-18 fex.

:o my bad, of course laver turned professional early 60s? Still he was pretty good :p

Laver turned pro in 1963, Emerson won only 2 single Slams before that. And he was 2 years older than Rod. But Laver went to the Pro tour, improved and Emerson vultured all those Slams. You can see that the better tennis was being played on the Pro tour even on their h2h. Emerson won only 6 matches after all pros were allowed to play at Slams, even though more than half their matches happened in the Open era.

More like trying to keep it for himself.Using his superb coaching skills to get Andy into finals, after which he poisons him before the match, I'm guessing.

I also think Lendl started to coach Murray on purpose to wash the shame off him.

I always knew Murray will be in the history books. Not in a nice way though.
