tommy played solid, the first serve deserted him for a lot of the match but his 2nd serve is really good.

I think this match is also more about how awful Fish's forehand is at the moment. Granted, it's never that good, but he will lose a lot of points and matches off that shot.

Congrats to Tommy, but he will be playing an opponent that has a forehand in the final. Hope he picks it up.

That backhand is just amazing today, even some winners on return. :yeah: Easily second best onehanded in Tour now.
At 5-5 was long game, Fish had gb, but couldn`t convert. Aces didn`t help either.
Now take title, Tommy! :drive:

Good for tennis.

Haas is #19 in the race now, he has a great shot to finish in the top 15 and, like many other men, has a shot of taking that #10 off Monaco should he remain healthy. Don't think he'll be the one to do it, but YE top 15 should be more than achievable.

Was never a big Haas fan but thoroughly enjoying this form he's on.

Tommy's comeback has been nothing short of astonishing. Had he got past Kohli at Wimbledon he'd have made QF and be on the brink of a top 15 ranking next week.

It would be stunning if he could get a top 24 seed for the USO. It will definitely boost his chances for a good showing and he's already done well there in the past (be it on the green surface).

Its very unlikely that he won't be #24 for the USO. He's #25 atm with final points, and If he wins Citi, he'll be #21 ;)

I have to say I'm surprised at Haas' level. He is playing as well as I've ever seen him play. If he can keep this up physically, I see no reason why he should not be able to return to the top 10, especially with all of his favourite season coming up. I would really like that, even though we would definetely have one of the oldest top 10's ever then
