Solid match from Sam, his baseline game is far superior to Kevin's. The first serve kind of let him down tonight, but he just did whatever he wanted against Kevin. Anderson goes for broke too soon in the point and should develop points longer. He has the Isner mentality which is disappointing since he looks to be a better baseline than what we saw tonight.

I would say that Sam needs to prove to himself and to us that he can also do well in Europe and Asia. He will most likely pick up a boatload of points in the next month, but can he continue that in Asia and into Australia? I've been getting too used to seeing a hot american player these past two months only to not see them again until iw/miami.

They're not. Haas will play Fish and Querrey will play Dolgopolov/Blake
