Murray has a more natural game on grass, Djokovic won Wimbledon because he was extra confident last year but this

Andy Murray will take this in two to claim the silver.

The matchup many of us have been looking forward to. Certainly many things are favoring Murray here, best of 3, grass (potentially?), the British crowd (possibly?) and his game style, all of which can be troubling for Novak. Despite Novak winning Wimbledon last year, I do consider Andy to be the superior grass court player.. So the question is will Novak's mental strength prevail or Andy's game win it? I will go with Murray in 3. Neither have certainly played their best, but it will be an interesting match regardless.

First of all, I think grass suits better for Murray. Another thing is if Nole is still too good. But I don't think Nole is much better than Andy except for on clay courts. Andy beat Nole in Dubai this year and had a tight 5-setter at AO. Also, I think Andy wants to win more than Nole, this is his home OG, Nole may be looking more forward to USO. And most importantly, I think Andy is better player than Nole when the match is played on grass. I think Andy was more difficult for Roger than Nole in Wimbledon.

But I'd like Nole to win, just coz he'd be an easier opponent for Roger.

Doubt it. There is no way that Djokovic allows himself to lose this in 2 sets. OG means a lot to him, he's mentally strong. I just can't see Murray winning in 2. My pick is Novak in 3 sets.

This match has me nervous for Nole. Although Nole performs well on grass, I still think Murray is overall just more comfortable/confident on this surface. This being their first meeting on grass also does Nole no favors. Even though Nole has performed well in patches, his game has been too streaky here. My gut is telling me Murray takes this in 3. Please prove me wrong Nole, although I would like to see Murray at least win a bronze here after his Wimby heartbreaker.

Murray has the same number of grass titles as Djoko this year, zero. He did go further than Djokovic at Wimbledon despite having a tougher draw, therefore he has had a better grasscourt season so far.

Novak holds two slams. That's my measure. Roger has had a great year. But tough losses at the French and Australian Open. If he wins the US Open, he clinches #1 in my book regardless of what happens here or anywhere else for that matter.
