Hard luck Leo. He had the momentum at the end of the second set, but serving to stay in it twice was obviously too great a task for him.

Haas deserves this, and can win a couple more matches this week, yet.

That's quite disrespectful to Iron Mike, Leoito and Tobi :o

Haas deserves these easy draws, he's had a rotten time of it.

I'd say he can win more than a couple of more matches. Haas could beat anyone left in the draw. Whether or not he will or not is another story, but it's possible.

Haas is looking good for Top 20 at the end of the year. Unbelievable.

I'm starting to believe that tough back injury from a year ago or so really killed Leo's career :o, after recovering from it he's had a few setbacks related to it and he totally lost form. Not that I was expecting him to beat Haas but, still, he's struggling a lot lately.

WHAT?! I'd prefer Federer in R1 and Rafa in R2 instead of the mighty Iron Mike and then the unstopable Ace-Tower.
Kamke is a little relax compared to those legends... Mike is a fighter who will give his own blood and soul in every point, he plays from his heart, one of the biggest on tour.
And Mayer can ace you from every corner of the world. It's like facing an endless tower made from the most ancient stones, by the elders you only hear about in the old books.

Haas is beating legends to increase his own.
He's the mighty Hamburg warrior, and every victory makes him even mightier!
Every second, Haas legend is bigger and bigger, like an ending vortex.
When someone faces Haas, he faces a void. And what happens if you stare into the void? You find yourself. You find your own self in the void. You can't beat Haas, you have to fight with Haas and with your inner demons.

If Haas wins this tournament it will be hilarious to look back on his draw compared to Halle and realise he gained double the amount of points for this win.

Haas is going to be a seed at the U.S Open if he keeps this up - good stuff!

I hope Haas plays Toronto. Surely, an even bigger opportunity to pick up points if he doesn't win here.

I hope he can gather what are pretty close to free points here

Saw this match at the Citi Open last night. Haas played a smart match and hit a lot of deep balls to Leo's forehand side -- and was rewarded with errors. He also got very annoyed with the line-calling (which was bad) but handled it. The backhand rallies were interesting as Haas and Leo seemed like mirror image one-handers.
