What a great match to watch :) Baggy was nowhere to be found in the 2nd but the 2 other sets were brilliant. Even baggi showed some good form and made it a very entertaining match in his "special" way :)

Set 1: Baghdatis playing at 99%

Set 2: Baghdatis gifts the 2nd set

Set 3: Baghdatis tries but Murray's level rose too much

The slice Murray hit to break back in the first set was one of the best I've ever seen in tennis. If someone finds any video, please post it.

As expected Baghdatis doesn't have the fitness to play more than a set of decent tennis this far into a tournamnent.

Good job really, it's been a good day for GB so far, would have hated to see a sure fire medal get thrown away.

Semi in the bag, this time, it's Federer who gets Ferrer and Murray who gets Djokovic

It seems ridiculous to say such a thing about a professional tennis player, but Baghdatis' fitness is actually shocking.

Murray was always going to come out on top.

Shot of the match was Baghdatis netting that shoulder height forehand 30cm from the net to let Murray break in the second. :)

Mostly people complain that Murray is too deadpan when he wins a match, now when he shows some emotion, that isn't right either!

You just can't please MTF.

hope Andy remembers Almagro celebrating in his face at 2008 Roland Garros and dishes out revenge in the appropriate manner

Oh god I hope Murray picks it up and dispatches him quickly. I can't stand Almagro.

Strange little match today. The first set was some of the weakest, most passive tennis i have seen from Andy in a long time. Then he suddenly ups it and starts slamming forehands and spanking winners. ...Strange little match. Never the less he's into the Quarters now, should dispatch AlMUGro pretty quickly.

Baghdatis is so talented but he just lacks consistency and although his fitness is improved, it's still not good enough :o He should have won their Wimbledon match, and he should have won this match. He totally let Murray off the hook in that last game. :help:

Mugro stands no chance :haha:

I know  It amazes me how he gets a cakewalk draw to the quarters... He'll lose something like 6-3 6-2.

Very true, i love it when players show passion and very happy to see Andy win this match. Hopefully he can dispatch Almagro and book his place in the semi-finals
