Basically a repeat of last week. Next up is Fish, and by the way Fish has been playing I give Berankis a shot as long as he doesn't pull the same clowning he did against Querrey.

Berankis into the top 100 with this result, up to about 84!

Break Points : NM 0/0 RB 2/13 :o Those 1 AM finishes are tiring though, why don't they schedule the matches to start earlier than 4PM?

Agreed but he'll likely have to convert on his break points much sooner then tonight. I think he was like 2-15 or something lol

Other than that, result was NID

Trust me. Washington D.C. before 4PM is brutally hot and muggy. It is not fun!

He does have a good point tho.. its kinda ridiculous that a east coast tournament has matches ending at 1am...

They could start a bit earlier. But still, I've been in D.C. during summer, and it is HORRIBLE! I would never be able to play Tennis, let alone imagine playing pro tennis where points are longer and harder. It puts the players at risk of heat stroke

I guess the weather on weekends gets better because the matches are scheduled earlier :)

Rain will be a factor this week, so organizers may eventually be forced into early starts.

Good win Rycka, welcome back to the top 100. Next match is against Fish, please, don't clown Berankis and make it competetive :armed:

Gee 85 to 102 are tightly packed in the rankings. Jumping that much from a R1 win is rare.

That's where a 45 point first round win kicks in.

Yeah, but it's still a very big jump. If you add 45 points to the world number 111 he would only go up to 105.
